back to the game...what's with the constant dull "boooo" at Dodger Stadium? same crowd noise through-out, even when the home team is up. Is it just typical LA fans?

Because it's not true. But it is an idea that Sox management and front office loves to feed into.Originally posted by: FallenHero
The Sox have always been Chicago's Black Sheep of sports. I have no idea why either.
For many years, the White Sox were the black sheep of White Sox fans themselves, and their hatred of Reinsdorf.![]()
latter part I agree with (about WSox fans), but I disagree with the last part. WSox are black sheep. Name a city outside of Chicago where anyone gives a shit about the WSox. Now do the same in regards to the Cubs. After having lived there for 5 years, I'd say it's pretty accurate that Chicago overall favors the Cubs.
partly fan base, partly b/c the Cubs are the first franchise (originally known as the Chicago White Stockings, franchise came to be known as the Cubs, then Commiskey, who once played for the White Stockings, created the WSox), partly b/c Wrigley is a monument, US Cellular is a travesty, partly b/c there is absolutely nothing on the South side, it can go on and on....
spoken like a true person who hasn't been to the southside/US Cell in years.
earlier this season, actually.
Just as many mullets and thin-mustacheod 16 year-old punks swilling High Life, tossing trash cans and starting fights as there have always been.
Don't get me wrong, I like watching games there. Highly entertaining and I don't have to hear the god-awful Hawk/DJ broadcast. (Holy shit they suck).
Also, I worked on the Southside for nearly 3 years. Was there every day. Believe me: there ain't a damn thing there.
Seriously though...what kind of true fan calls it The Cell? Fight the power, brah! It's Comiskey. Always will be (or Comiskey lite, if you prefer)![]()
Nah, pretty much just sounds like you using the same old tired arguments every cubs fan uses. I went to about 15 games this season and lived 4 blocks away from the stadium for the last year. The renovations they made to that stadium are incredible, best place to watch baseball in Chicago. But keep using the retarded "blue collar hicks" argument, its the go to line for anyone who doesn't know what they're talking about.

It's a very fitting stereotype. And I'm a Mets fan, chump. I hate the AL, and I don't personally have anything against the Sox. Like most teams that I tend to dislike, it's only b/c of fans.
Went to a game at "The Cell" where not less than 5 fights broke out in my section alone. Thought it was b/s it was cheap ticket promotion night, hence more punk kids. Asked the usher what was up, you know someone who WORKS in the stadium. He said it's like that most nights....
the stereotype fits b/c it's true. Whenever I'm heading into a game, there's piles of kids pounding beers and shoving trash cans over. CLASS.
Sucks to live a block form the stadium. Guess you had to walk to the Red line just to get anywhere? nowhere else to walk to around there....

The Dodger bats are on fire. Pitching is lights out. This team can go all the way.
