Official Cubs vs. Dodgers / Dodgers win series, Cubs fail hard

I hope so! Go Cubs!! I hope the media can stop slobbering over manny long enough to realize how good the Cubs are this year, they are 9 players deep in every game, if 2,3,4 don't pick it up, 6, 7, 8 do.
Dodgers are a 1 trick pony. I really, really hope I am right in this. They more or less swept the Dodgers this year, but this IS a different Dodgers team. We'll see soon enough.
Oh, side note, it's been 102 years since both the Cubs and the White Sox were both in the playoffs at the same time.
Is a red-line series possible? Damn, that would be amazing. Chicago would be ground zero, especially when the Cubs win the WS.

GO CUBS! Will be watching at home in a couple of hours. I was offered some rooftop tickets, all you can eat and drink, $300 bucks. Wayy to rich for my blood, would be fun to see the game live though.

yes, chicago gets help from every player on the team. damn even zambrano pinch-hits sometimes

ohhh man.. GO DODGERS!! I've waited for this moment for too long. The time for glory must come. 20 years is too long of a wait.

And 102 isn't?

For the record I'm a White Sox fan.

don't even talk about a long wait unless you are a cubs fan.

all i care about are the cubs, but it would be amazing to see a cubs v. sox world series.

😛 i was being semi-sarcastic. Of course, once you've tasted winning, longing for one grows even more. I was a kid that was super into baseball since my Dad took me to Dodger games all the time (he was a season ticket holder for many many years). Seeing the Kirk Gibson pump in game 1, and Orel Hershiser collapse on the mound in Game 5 is something, as a fan, I want to relive again. Seeing that as a kid, I started to value what teammates are for. Be it a lesson for life or not, I want to catch such inspiration again. It's just too addicting once you've experienced your fav team winning like that.

I've become addicted to my favorite teams winning. (Lakers especially).

I'm also tired of my teams being favorites to win and losing (Lakers last year, Chargers last two years, Dodgers almost every year but busted due to injuries/terrible management regardless of talent). 🙁

Anyways, good luck to all the fans..

and GO DODGERS!!!! !!! !!!! 🙂

Oh and GO ANGELS too (with the Dodgers destroying them hopefully 😛)! Freeway Series FTW!

^ dan, you're a cool guy and you can put down karl strauss beers like its going out of style... but booooooooooooooooooo to the dodgers! but then again i dont care for the cubs either so for this one series... this one time... ill be pulling for the dodgers. i do it in hopes that i get my southern california world series. and then the angels take it all.

this is just the first step in seeing who will eventually be dismantled by whatever AL team is in the WS

hahaha. I am rooting for the Angels because a Freeway series will be badass. If the Dodgers don't pull through, I want at least 1 So. Cal. team to reach the World Series.

I can't say I hate the Angels because of Mike Scioscia. So Goo Angels! But if it's a Freeway Series, I have to stick to my childhood roots. rawr.

Anyways I'm going off topic a bit. I think Cubs vs. Dodgers will be an excellent media matchup due to the history of each of the clubs. Whoever wins, it'll be somewhat of a nice redemption for both clubs.

steve bartman. poor guy is probably agoraphobic after that game. *if* the cubs make it to the world series and win it, hopefully the guy will be absolved kinda like what red sox fans recently did for buckner.

Yeah in between them talking about how/why the Yankees didn't make it, should be decent coverage 🙂

My dream is one day that no NY team or Boston makes it to the playoffs.

as much as i want to see the angels win... a sick part of me would just loooooooove a brewers/tampa bay world series. of course a freeway series would be funny also just to hear east coasters complain about having first pitch be at 9pm.

HELL YEAH DAN! Finally the Dodgers have some energy and the team really looks like it has some promise. The Cub hype is about to end! The only thing I'm slightly worried about is how they have to play 3 games away. Obviously the Dodgers have to win one away to move on, but if they can squeeze by with a win in one of the first two games, I'm sure they can finish it off at home.

And go Angels too! Freeway series would be sick. LA is gonna be the only city that can pull it off. As much as I want to see Griffy go far for the Sox, I don't think they might be packing up early.

Oh and this too...
😀

I hope both teams lose 😛

Just kidding. I hate the Dodgers and I don't anything against the Cubs, I just do it to piss my roommate from Chicago off.
