Razorback Stadium is beautiful! That game was a record crowd.. (still never figured out how 75,000 can attend a game, in which the stadium only seats 72,000)

Standing room only. Remember seeing all those people hanging over the side of the ramps going to the upper decks?

Yeah.. good point. I do remember what appeared to be picnic tables placed on top of the buildings at one of the endzone ends.. I guess they had to put people somewhere :)

Replace the S with pretty much any noun.....its the (O)verated that matters. After watching them the past years...they seem to be a lot like UVA, they choke in the one big game each year at a critical momement (a la losing to Texas last year).

Fixed - Fulmer can't give up the Krispy Kremes.

Going to be keeping an eye on the Ga Tech/ND and Cal/UT games all day too.

UA should walk over Hawaii. I wanted to go down to Auburn for the home opener but I'm going to be in Ohio visiting family (most likely my little brother's last visit to Ohio before he ships out to Iraq next month). I will be in Auburn for the AU/LSU game, the winner of that game has the definate inside track for the West.

This will be the first year in a long time that I do not go to almost every UA home game. My kid starting to play sports this year and me wanting to save money for sending the kids to private school means I will be watching most of the games on the tube for the first time since I started college back in '93. Right now, I'm only going to the Hawaii and Auburn games. Maybe the Ole Miss game depending on kickoff time.

I'm thinking about driving down to Tuscaloser for the Auburn game. The only two stadiums in the SEC I've never seen in person are UF's Swamp and UA's Bryant-Denny.

I haven't been to Arkansas or Vanderbilt. And from what I hear, I'm glad I've never been to Vandy. :)

West Virginia's schedule:

Sat, Sep 2 Marshall
Sat, Sep 9 Eastern Washington
Thu, Sep 14 Maryland
Sat, Sep 23 at East Carolina
Sat, Oct 7 at Mississippi State
Sat, Oct 14 Syracuse
Fri, Oct 20 at Connecticut
Thu, Nov 2 at (13) Louisville
Sat, Nov 11 Cincinnati
Thu, Nov 16 at Pittsburgh
Sat, Nov 25 South Florida
Sat, Dec 2 Rutgers

Ok.... strength of schedule = weak, but there are talks of a potential championship run..
The only way I see that happening is if everyone else ranked above them (once the BCS comes out) stumbles..

SOS is no longer calculated into the BCS. So it really is going to be dependent on how the coaches and computers vote.

A 6-19 bowl record for VT. Yeah, I guess you'd understand choking.

He had the pin removed from his toe last week, but its still too sore. Felix Jones I'm sure will get the start. As a freshman last year, Jones, carried the ball 99 times for 626 yards, behind McFadden's Arkansas freshman record, 1113 yards. So, based on stats, the talent level doesn't drop off too much, but we shall see.

Houston Nutt has named Robert Johnson starting quarterback. I find this astonishing. I thought Casey Dick was playing exceptional toward the end of last season. Apparently R. Johnson was the most improved during summer camp, and was named starter. Hopefully this season is the season that will get Houston Nutt fired.

The USC game is a sellout, 72,000+.

Hey, are you from or did you go to Arkansas? I live in Fayetteville and am going to the game this weekend.

Dick is out due to a back injury. Though according to the paper yesterday there may be some slim hope he will play. He practiced with the team the past couple of days and has apparently looked good.

I was born in Fort Smith.. Lived in Arkansas off & on throughout ...
Left Arkansas when I joined the military back in 1994. Stuck here in Maryland now, but I still call the Hogs to this day!

Well I'm sure you and the rest of the Auburn fans are only dreaming of 13 consecutive bowl games!! Seven is a good start....but really Auburn's game is close to VT's game there a good team.

Heh... my sister is in the Navy in Maryland up at Patuxent River and my wife was born in Ft. Smith. Anyway, I don't really expect the Hogs to win, but as long as they don't embarrass themselves like last year I'll be fine with a loss. I've learned to keep my hopes low so I'm not too disappointed by them :p

Bryant-Denny is awesome. It's not quite done, but it's still better than most stadiums.

Good approach. I'd like to hope that we can hold USC to under 50 this game. So, if we "only" get beat 49-28, then I will consider it a good game :p

if auburn played cupcakes nearly every week, they would have more than 13 consecutive bowl games...am I really defending Auburn?? The end of the world is near.

Since when were Miami, GT and BC considered Cupcakes?

Go WVU! Since Wake will probably end up with a losing record again this year :(, I'm rooting for my girlfriends school.

Though that schedule is weak as hell. I'm going to the Marshall game this saturday, which is a big deal in west virginia.

I'll give you Miami but GT and BC are so hit-or-miss it's amusing.

I'd love to see Fulmer booted from UT. It'd serve him right for screwing over Johnny Majors the way he did.
