If you are going to admire someone, pick a teacher, doctor or even one of those people that hold abandoned babies. Charlie is a mess. He may be enjoying it, but he is still wallowing and playing in his own shit. You want to watch that? Fine. You want to admire that? OK, just don't tell everyone they are fools for not licking his junk from taint to tip like certain people do.

Sorry, I prefer clean living over the sweaty ramblings of an addict that has burned out.

Also, cool is good when you know how to keep it. Charlie lost his at a very rapid rate.

That said, just because somebody is a teacher or doctor doesn't mean they deserve respect. One still has to prove they deserve respect. It's very hard to be a good teacher or doctor, which is all the more reason to praise that person because there are a LOT of bad ones out there. Out of the 3 teachers in my family only 1 of them is worth noting. The other 2 are bitter old cranks that now hate children and are only in it because of the little benefits and because they can't be canned easily. I'd hate having these people as a teacher.

NSF4, I hope your wife continues to love her job. It's sad when years of teaching take their toll and it takes certain people to enjoy it through their whole career. Teachers are very important, but we just need so freaking many of them that we have to hold on to ones that probably shouldn't be teaching anymore. And due to that the wage isn't as high as the good ones deserve. Part of that is the union system as they all have to have similar (the same?) wages based on seniority and not true merit.

3.5 million people are teachers; a job of infinitely more societal value than 2&1/2 men.

2.6 million people are RNs; a job of infinitely more societal value than 2&1/2 men.

Don't get me started on medical researchers and fire fighters.

Sociol psychologically this is false.

It's this simple: anyone can go to school and get a degree to teach or nurse. 1 in a million are good actors. People are paid commensurate with the rarity of their profession, not some Joe Schmoe's valuation of a profession. It's the same with athletes.

There are so many things wrong with this post I don't even know where to begin :(

You can't refute it is why. Either you're born with it or you're not. Teaching or nursing can be attained, looks+acting ability or athleticism are unattainable.

Dr. Drew loves him some winning!

Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen "needs some medication," as his current path will inevitably lead him to jail, an institution or an early grave, Dr. Drew Pinsky told RadarOnline.com's Senior Executive Editor Dylan Howard on the premiere of Pinsky's new HLN talk show, Dr. Drew, on Monday.
Howard asked Dr. Drew how seriously the public should take the Sheen they've seen in various interviews, as the actor has openly discussed how he's adopted an alter ego persona, a la the late groundbreaking comic Lenny Bruce.
Dr. Drew said that "It's one thing to say you're playing a role, it's another thing to believe" you're the actual character.
“So what does [Sheen] need then?" Howard asked Dr. Drew, who responded, "He needs some Depakote (a drug used to treat the manic phase of bipolar disorder) ... he needs some medication."
Dr. Drew said that Sheen would greatly benefit from a simpler life and longstanding sobriety, noting that if he continues on the jagged path he's been on, the only options are death, institutionalization or jail.
The actor has reacted with hostility to Dr. Drew’s analysis in the past, as in an interview with Southern California's K-EARTH 101 last month, Sheen said, "I think me and [Dr. Drew] Pinsky should jump in the ring, and I can show him how unstable these fists really are."

LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- A 1997 Ferrari 550 Maranello that Charlie Sheen reportedly once owned is now up for sale on eBay for nearly $80,000.

The car can be purchased outright for $79,500, but so far, the bidding hasn't surpassed $55,000.

It is listed by a seller in Denver, who claims Sheen was its original owner.

The eBay page says: "Charlie Sheen was the original owner of this classic V-12 Ferrari. The story goes that he sold this car to pay for his wedding to Denise Richards."

The car has a titanium-colored exterior and a red interior, and even comes with matching luggage.

Sheen is currently on his 22-show "Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option" tour.

The actor got poor reviews for his first show in Detroit on Saturday, but fared better with an audience in Chicago on Sunday.

Wow... I can get tickets for Charlie's Wallingford, CT show tomorrow for $30 a seat on Stubhub! It's tempting to go just to see if he'll flake out and do something crazier than usual :)

I have a simple method of evaluating people's worth:

If there is a nuclear war and we need to rebuild society, would your skills be useful for helping mankind recover?

Doctors, physicists, teachers, farmers....yes

Actors, reality show people, fashion designers, and hair stylists would probably be used as food.

Sadly it would not really break down like that.

More than likely most of our best resources in people will be the first targets and wiped out.

Sheen seeks Mila Kunis for 3rd goddess, Kunis disgusted

Wonder why

Clearly you can't be born to be a great teacher or taught to be a great actor, though all this is completely ignoring the fact that Sheen is a mediocre actor at best and hasn't been in a decent production since before I was born, so what we're getting I can't be sure.

I'm sure he'd appreciate knowing you're crushin' on him though.

How'd he get to be the highest paid tv actor?

Because like music, TV's worthless anymore. Back when Cheers was the highest rated show, 2 and a half men wouldn't have even made it on TV, let alone be one of the highest rated shows with the highest paid actor. TV has hit such a low state that I wouldn't be surprised if Pauly Shore got a show next year and he went on to become the highest paid actor on TV. What Charlie gets paid here isn't impressive when his competition is...

shit I can't even name another show that's on. He's competing against crap, and his crap is just slightly better, but that doesn't mean it's not crap. And it just so happens the average TV viewer of 2 and a half men isn't old enough to remember when TV actually had good TV shows on. Ignorance is bliss I suppose

I don't think anyone is really worshiping the guy.

He's funny and it's fucking hilarious that people out there are taking him so seriously thinking he needs to be institutionalized.
