I think the Chaintech 9CJS is a provocative board. Price, and a lack of history with this brand kept me from buying it. I would really like to hear from someone who is currently using this board.

I saw many reviews that shows 9CJS like an excelent board, but the price is very high. I would like to know about people that have one. I´m between this board and the Gigabyte GA-8KNXP.

I have had the 9CJS for about 2 weeks now and it is a huge disappointment so far.

I am using 1GB (2X512) of Corsair high speed, low drag, teflon coated memory that I paid dearly for and the best I can do on the fsb is 230 and that is not very stable. I leave it at 225.

I have overclocked several Abit and a couple of Asus and even a couple of MSI boards with success but this one has me beat. Maybe it is the luck of the draw on the CPU, a 2.6C that does not take well to overclocking but I do not think so because even the Corsair memory has to be left at default settings for anything over 221Mhz.

Great board at default settings and VERY mild overclocking but only get it if you like all the dog and pony show accessories.

By the way, if anybody has any ideas or advice, please feel free to jump in.

Same problem here. The mainboard works fine, but the Handigator doesn't works at all.
I also tried other IR devices but nothig happens. It looks like the IR port on the Cbox3 is not working.
BTW, how can it work if it's not connected to the mainboard? The mainboard has an IR connector, but there's no cable from the IR connector on the mobo to the Cbox.....
Am I missing something??? Does it work trough the USB interface??? (that would be very strange!!!)

Received my second Chaintech Zenith mobo a few days ago. I now have the 9CJS with the 2.6 P-4 and the 7NJS Zenith Ultra with an XP2500 Barton. The Handigator does not work on either one and the Tech Support people STILL have not responded. I like to watch DVDs on the PC so the Handigator was one of the key selling features.

This is NOT the way to win friends and influence people. Maybe they should take some lessons from outfits like Newegg. What the heck, I've got over $440 wrapped up in their 2 mobo's, they got what they want, my money.

On a lighter note, after a bunch of experimentation I have figured out the overclocking tricks. The 2.6 P-4 is running cool (41-42 under load) and stable at 3.2 and the XP2500 is running at 2.31 (43-45 under HEAVY load). Default voltage and "aggressive" settings. Not too bad but I hope to do better after everything burns in and I explore some unexplained options/settings in the Chaintech BIOS.

Handigator fix:

Change the JP6 jumpers on the CBox3 itself and the mobo, connect both USB channels to the CBOX3 and the Handigator will work.

Too bad Chaintech couldn't tell us that. Of course maybe they don't know!!!
