I somehow find that hard to believe, although I suppose it could be possible. A few months ago, there was a man from Thailand, I think, that supposedly died from playing Counter-Strike.

Gosh, I'd ordinarily be inclined to dismiss this as complete crap.....but with such a reputable source to consider, my Diablo II discs are going straight in the dumpster tomorrow. Don't want those flashing lights to make a widow out of my wife.

I've wondered if there is any correlation between some of these deaths and the symptoms of deep vein thrombosis that has been reported on long airline flights.

Doctors say long-haul flights kill 2,000 a year

Researchers believe cramped airline seats and inactivity during flights increase the risk of blood clots in the leg.

The point is, get up and stretch at least once an hour. There is a real danger of sitting in the same position for hours on end.

Actually a pretty good point. I know I tend to just "lock in" and not move any more that needed for a few hours when gaming.

YEAH! HK POWER! YEAH! (or not... )

damn, I remembered someone in HongKong got a "stroke" or something like that after 8 hours of gaming, he starts biting his tounge and vomitting white stuff... this was 7/8 years ago, I still remember my parents got on my ass after they watched it on the news...

It is tragic someone may have died from watching images on a computer monitor for too long. I can't help but notice 99.9% of Diablo II players manage to survive the experience, though.

Good points here about taking breaks. Many things, when done in excess/to the extreme, can be harmful. Get away from the monitor once in a while you nerds.
