I'll be voting for the Conservatives again and hoping for a minority government so that the Conservatives do as little damage as possible. Hopefully, this will result in that pin-head Dion being dumped as the Liberal Party leader so that they can get a real leader for the next election.

I've realized that since moving, I know basically nothing about Canadian politics at all, but good luck picking somebody who isn't a total douche.

Ya, I'm hoping an Election isn't called yet. Still undecided. Harper hasn't strayed far from the Martin Liberal policy, but where he has I'm a little reluctant to want him to be PM in a Majority government. Dion was a very poor choice for the Libs. I'd vote for Martin without hesitation, Ignatief might get my vote though. NDP/PQ, never, also in BC so PQ can't get it anyway. Tempted to vote Green just to send a message.

I think the best result for the country might be a Dion Minority though. That would delay the Liberals from changing Leaders, but I think most Canadians are like myself and are not really impressed with any of the current Leaders available. At least the Conservatives would get a shakeup out that result.

Going liberal, probably my first time voting ever if I bother to wake up that day. Dion is not inspiring, and his policies are vague. I'm pretty much just voting liberal since I don't care for most of the conservative policies.

The Liberals under Dion will get annihilated and as far as I am concerned the green and the NDP can all DIAF.
I am hoping for a Conservative majority but onething is guarantied: The Conservative will get at least a minority and will be dictating their will for the next few years.
This is a good thing in my book.

For the first time ever I'm not interested in voting. I don't find any of the party leaders inspiring. It's likely going to be another minority government, the only question is, who will be in control.

For the first time since the merger (I used to be a die hard PC supporter), I'm likely going to be voting Conservative because I'm concerned what the Liberals potential environmental policies would mean to Alberta's oil and gas industry (my job depends on a healthy oil and gas industry).

Voting Conservative again, I think (not that it matters, Bob Rae is and will continue to be my MP). Still patiently waiting for the day I can renew my Liberal party membership.

Another Conservative minority would be fine with me. Minority governments are the way to go.

Conservative, I don't care for their social agenda, but crime and punishment, fiscally conservative, military , and abolish long gun registry is enough for me.
I don't think the Libs deserve another shot yet, I was a fan of Martin til he sucked at leadership and cratered to every poll and special interest group going

As a former easterner who's moved west, I'd vote conservative if an election is in the works. Dion is a poor poor choice for Liberal leader with no leadership skills and the stench of the past regime still fresh, and Harper knows that an election would virtually eliminate the Liberals as a threat with Dion in command. The Conservative Party had a few hiccups during their leadership, but other then that they've run a pretty tight ship and stuck to their policies.

Even though Canada is by and large a socialist / liberal country, Harper hasn't eaten babies like the left claimed would happen if he was in power, and Dion's environmental policies would devestate the western economy. Dion doesn't even have full support of his own party, and Canadians should expect to give him support? I expect another conservative minority, as too many liberals fear to vote conservative due to some religious right extremist elements in the party.

Conservative minority, or a weak majority. These Conservatives aren't the Bush wannabes that everyone painted them out to be last time around. They're still maybe a little right for me, but not too bad.

I hope for a minority but this is one election I seriously do not know whom to pick. I utterly despise Harper, but a decaying eel has a stronger backbone than Dion. Atleast the Tories did the right thing with taxing income trusts, while Dion did not oppose the immigration bill for fear of facing an election.
I may just go green on this one depending on the content they have on other issues outside the environment.

It's first past the post so it's actually not so much about the popular vote.

I don't know the big hurrah about the popular vote system is anyways - it's a total disaster for any nation of significant size like those in North America. We get a lot of grousing about the East dominating Canadian politics as it already stands.

It may be a nightmare from a logistics perspective, but that doesn't make the electoral college system fair.
