**OFFICIAL** Call of Duty 2 thread.

Hey guys, here's your official Call of Duty 2 thread. The game is due to be shipped today, October 25th, so the majority of stores will have it on Wednesday of this week.

The reviews are coming in, and I'll try to post a couple here for all to read.

EDIT: Quake 4 takes about 2 evenings of gaming to easily beat, and so does FEAR....

hehe...true...these are not typical gaming evenings.... I beat both games in about 9ish total hours. And granted, I was definatly rushing through them b/c I wanted to be able to take my time for CoD2 w/o other games in the back of my mind.

What can I say, I love the games. I think marrage plus WoW has limited Warcrow's time here, but I could be wrong. Seeing as to how I'm getting married next May, maybe my time is coming .

can anyone tell me if it ran better than the demo? If it doesnt then im not buying it. It ran on 800x600 with crappy framerates AND it looked 10 times more horrible than COD 1 and the expansion.

So is the multiplayer going to be new and fun? Or is it just CoD with improved graphics, like the single player is?

I'll probably end up sticking with BF2 for multiplayer war gaming. So far everything else I have tried is pretty sad in comparison.

COD2 sucks the ass of a thousand donkeys.

I put it in the rehash category along with Quake 4...5....6.....7.....8.....9....

There is just nothing new about it. Not one innovation. Even the biggest fanboi reviews still end up with only the 'smoke' to talk about as being new and to be honest there is better smoke in much older games (JointOps for one)

COD2 = COD + Some gfx improvements

Save your money and reinstyall COD one with some decent mods!

I know I come off harsh but you will see COD3 next time with 'woooooh now the guns bang louder.' Then after than your PC will be playing Call of Duty Reloaded,.... then it will be Call of Duty '08 with new improved uniforms.

I am on a crusade this year to shout and whine about all the damn rehashes as thats all we have been fed this year. Rehash after rehash (mostly with an EA name on) and yet fools keep buying :/

I don't see why I need anything new. I could have gotten by with 10 more expansion packs for the original COD. The engine runs fine for me and it is the story and the way that it is told that kept me captivated.

I'd like to see more airplane gunner missions like in the COD expansion pack. Honestly, I thought that mission was insanely cool.
