How soon do you start up your 'OFFICIAL' Boston RED SOX Vs. New York YANKEES ALCS Series Trash Talking Thread?
Well...................
Man, it would be nifty to see the Sox and Cubbies in the World Series. And if the Sox win today, and move on I hear that
Pedro will go up against Clemens in Game 3 at Fenway of the ALCS!! Could you imagine what the scalpers will get for those tickets.
BS, the A's haven't been advancing because they weren't good enough too. With the exception of last year the teams the they lost to in the first round were better than them. If they lose to the Red Sox this time it's because the Red Sox are better than them. When the A's have had the better team they went to the Series and have one more than any other team beside the Yankees and I think the Cardinals. Of course if you think that your team isn't as good as the A's are this year and only won this playoff (that's if they win) because of Oakland Choking and not because they are better than the A's then I guess that's your perogative. However I know a Pub Full of Sox Fans that would disagree with you (and probably kick your Nancy Boy Ass for even suggesting that is the case)Originally posted by: SP33Demon

Bosox will rip your hearts out again Oakland fans!!! BTW, how are them Raiders doing this year? lol didn't think so....
PS: If you lose tonight Oakland, your curse of choking in the playoffs is greater than any force I've ever seen in sports, even the Bambino's.
And it seems with the injuries the A's have to their Pitching Staff that at this moment the Sox might even have an edge there too. If the Sox are better and if they happen to win then how can it be said the A's choked? Hell they gave the Mighty Sox a major Scare before they came back to Fenway. I sure remember the doom and Gloom o9ver the Sox when I went to the local Pub last Friday. Of course if they do come back to win it will be even sweeter for those fans. Like I said, the A's and the Sox don't do it the easy way. Can you actually say that games 1,3 and 4 weren't some of the best games you have seen in a long while (especially game 1) Win or lose neither team should hang it's head. For the A's fan this year just making the Playoffs was a plus when you consider the off year their offense was having. And for the Sox the way they fought to come back in this Playoff series is a credit to their Players. To knock either team in this series as Chokers or Losers is pure ignorance. Of course this is ATOT where ignorance does rule supremeOriginally posted by: Spooner
The Red Sox are clearly better than the A's in every category except pitching.

Clearly the Sox are the better team and should have won game 1... even so, any team that goes up 2-0 and loses the series is a big time choke in my book, especially when one team has one of the best bullpens/starters in the league as opposed to the 3rd worst. Especially, when a team does it TWO YEARS in a ROW. With THE SAME PLAYERS (give or take one or two).

Well before some of these loudmothed children starting talking nonsense I would have rooted for the Sox if they happen to win tonight but now I think watching them suffer at the Hands of the Yankees yet again would be rather enjoyable.Originally posted by: Geekbabe

Defensively, the A's are better. The A's have a better bullpen and closer. The A's have a better record than the Sox and won their division... The A's won the season series against the Sox, and Hudson has not lost to the Sox all season and postseason (which equalizes the Pedro excuse). Given these facts, how can you say the Sox are a better team? I'm biased of course, but on paper I can't say that Boston are complete favorites in this series. I reiterate, if the A's lose tonight, they have officially earned "Choker" status. I will agree with you, though, that it has been an incredibly close series... but c'mon, you miss home plate, blow a rundown, and stop running to homeplate to complain about interference... all which could have won you the game, that's bigtime choke in my book.Originally posted by: Red Dawn

To say that only takes away from what the Sox accomplished and I won't do that. The Sox have proven their meddle in this series win or lose!Originally posted by: SP33Demon
