Hello, we all have heard of these cars (well most of us ok...) and some of us have ordered them from online and bought them at local stores. Well by now im sure we have questions such as What can i mod? or How an i fix "this"? And all kinds of other questions.... Well here are some helpful links:

Is your steering really off? Check out this: http://www.blackadderhall.com/bitchar-g/garage/steering.htm

Now for mods?...hmm QFM has lots of mods, but i think the coolest are the Light mods. BUT one problem, all the mods besides the headlight ones have to be bought in kits....unless someone creates some tutorials...Im sure youve seen this site: Mikes Mods This guy sells light mod kits that do all kinds of cool stuff, I think the mod shouldnt cost more then the car so anyone think they could come up with some mod plans? Here is a closeup of the PC board of the car: Linky anyone think they can rig something up and try to make a cool mod?

Thats all i got to say for now but keep posting in this thread if you have questions or comments :)

Umm, lol, i wouldnt recomend trying to lift up the circuit board more than .22 mm :|, I just barely lifted mine and the way that they have it positioned with the wires, the wires on mine ripped.

They are just a single thread of thin copper. and its impossible to solder it back togather. Ohh well there goes 30 bucks.

I like my HPI Micro RS4 better anyway.

Btw your stuff is going out today.

Kendogg,
The jittering from the 3.0 motor is probably electromagnetic interference with the antenna and the circuit board. The antenna runs over the circuit board and the motor. This results in attenuation of the signal which, in turn causes the car to jitter. Moving the antenna seems to have alleviated alot of the jitter. If that doesn't sove the problem, try using some sort of magnetic sheilding between the motor and the board and see if that helps.

Got a Tomy R34 Skyline with the 2.0 and the generic Mercedes thing with the wheel. The generic one sucks, don't waste money on them, get the real deal, it's soooo much better.

The generics are still good for young kids since they are cheaper...but for anyone who is going to want to change motors and stuff or for someone who takes good care of stuff the original TOMY ones are great....Just dont buy the NSX-r I had one and the range was about 5 feet...eh.
