Let the game begin.... 7 p.m. CST on Fox for those of you that didn't know.

If LSU brings the team that beat VT and not the team that lost to UK and Ark then they can not be beat.

My prediction.... LSU 27 OSU 24.

I *really* hope that OSU smokes LSU, I would be in a very good mood if OSU shut LSU out. All of Louisiana jumped on the LSU band wagon recently, it stinks.

OSU will come out with the typical Big 10 first half rust and go into halftime down by 14 points.

Second half will be more competitive but ultimately LSU will pull it out and win by 10.

LSU - 24
OSU- 14

I'm hoping for another massive blowout in OSU favor - 54-17 or something along those lines.
What would the BCS have to say then for vaulting LSU to #2 over Georgia, USC, Oklahoma (obviously a good choice now), WV, VT, kansas, etc
Playoff system needed to settle this stat!

Personally I hope LSU just squeaks by and we have like a 3-4way tie for the champion so we can finally have serious thought of some kind of playoff

USC, WVU and Mizzou all could probably beat Ohio State convincingly

Georgia - didn't even win its division, enough said. Ask them how well they play vs. Tenn.
USC - lost to unranked/below .500/not bowl eligible Stanford team (with backup QB in his first start) with 41 points favorite AT home.
WV - lost to unranked and below .500 Pitt team
VT - 41-7 anyone? to who?
KU - lost to Mizzou in its only real test of the regular season

LSU - plays one of the touchest conference, if not the touchest, beat many rank teams, didn't lose in regulation and lost to winning record/bowl teams, didn't get blow out this season, did wins its division and conference = BCS Championship bowl.

Playoff? Good luck and hold your breath and then wait for it.

I am hoping LSU wins I guess. I am a Big Ten/Midwest guy usually but I can't help but root for SEC teams.

If this game is a close LSU win... is there seriously a chance for a split #1?

i don't see how Ohio state can win. They had a much better team the year they got killed against Florida. They played a weaker schedule than LSU. They are 0-7 against the SEC in bowl games. But on the other hand if you look at the Vegas spread, the gamblers have hit Ohio state up. The line has dropped from LSU 6 pt favorites to 3.5. They were right on Florida last year. I say close game LSU 21 OSU 17.

I agree that OSU has a worse team than last year, and I think they will probably lose BUT...

Michigan beat Florida (who many SEC lovers claimed was really they best SEC team), so anything can happen.

Does anyone know what the general health is of the LSU team is after the layoff? My prediction of another SEC national title basically hinges on Dorsey and Doucet being back near 100%.

I hope Ohio State wins.

1) I like Ohio State
2) I hate LSU
3) In general, I hate LSU fans
4) Fox's coverage of college footballs blows donkey balls. Hell, JP Sports with Dave, Dave, & Dave is better.

Miles said all the starters from LSU are back 100% in his last news conference.

I'd love to see OSU win in LSU's backyard. Doubt it will happen though, but I can hope. Still want a close game, so I don't have to turn it off ten minutes in.

LSU - 28
OSU - 24

I don't have an interest in either team, but I would much rather Ohio State win it to shut up the LSU fans who think the SEC is the only conference in existence. Being in TX, I am just tired of constantly being subjected to it.

Objectively, I think Ohio State has a chance. I think they are a more focused team than last year, and won't be a letdown. I think LSU is not as good as the FLA team was last year that beat Ohio State. I think that the LSU QB is just ok, and their receivers are nothing special. I think Ohio State's defense can play with LSU. I also think the LSU defense is good and can give Ohio State fits. This will be close, but I will predict 24-21 Ohio State.

Ohio State also has the coaching advantage. Miles is a buffoon.

So if LSU wins their is going to be like 6 legit teams that have 2 losses and 1 MNC. Sounds fair to me.
