Oakland kicks ass and Tim Brown is a class act that deserves a ring. Of course then there's Gannon who completely deserved MVP with his record setting year.

Go Raiders!

On one website, I saw a graphics that read "Gruden Bowl I". :D I think it'll be a great game, but as we speak, the oddsmakers are increasing the spread of the game. From what I've heard, Raiders by 4.5.

Go Bucs.

Raiders win. Why?

Tampa's D is good but undersized. Oakland's OL will manhandled the Tampa DL. Ronde Barber is a good DB but who else do they have back there to cover Rice, Brown, Porter, Garner, and Jolley? Look for Oakland to come out and run early on Tampa and wear them down. No, it's not the usual Raider game plan but they can run when they want to. They will establish the ground game, Tampa's DB's tend to cheat up close to the line to try and stop the run, and then they will open up the air assault. Tampa's offense will most likely have trouble getting on track against the Oakland D. The Tampa OL is average at best and it usually pretty bad. They don't really have a threat at RB, and running against Adam's and Parella is tough for even a good OL/RB combination. Once Tampa gets into a pass heavy mode the Oakland DL and LB's will be all out after Brad Johnson who isn't what anyone would consider a mobile QB. Plus if he gets rattled his passes tend sail on him. At WR the Bucs really don't have anything other than Keyshawn and he is mostly mouth. It will most likely be a close game at the half, but in the 3rd & 4th quarters Oakland will pull away. I see the final score as something like Oakland 31 Tampa Bay 13.

I'm not partial to either team, but I think Tampa Bay has the edge. Their defense is excellent. Oakland is relying on the pass too heavily, and I just don't think that's going to work against TB's defensive backs. Their DBs have excellent closing speed to defend passes and also to limit run-after-the-catch yardage (especially because they're also good tacklers).
I think TB's defensive line and fast linebackers will limit Garner's effectiveness as well.
Whether TB can put any points on the board is a different story, as Oakland's defense has also been playing well.

I think it should be a good game.

I'm going with Raiders in hopes that Warren Fat will take his slow bloated ass down to Florida and STFU.

They have played the most difficult schedule in the NFL this year.
They are physically in better shape than anyone they have played, keeping the pressure on and wearing out the Jets and Tenn in the 4th quarter was very impressive.
Lastly, this is as close to a home game as one can have in a Super Bowl.
When they play the Chargers. they bring 25-30K fans down to San Diego.

Raiders 26-16.
Janikowski will hit 4 FG's. Tim Brown MVP with 10-12 catches and both TD's.
Raiders D sets up short field, for all the points.
Exactly my thoughts. The Bucs D will give up points grudgingly to the Raiders O but the Raiders D will give up even fewer to the Bucs O. The only thing that will skew this is the outcome of turnovers during the game and who ends up having the most takeaways. I don't think special teams will be a big factor; that worried me about the Raiders earlier in the season but the last several games they've really buckled down on their special teams.

Should be a very good, hard-fought game. Go Raiders!!! :D

John Lynch? Dexter Jackson? Derrick Brooks? Brian Kelly(led the league in INTS this year)?

Brooks in a LB but he still plays the pass very well. TB's secondary is considered by most the best in the league so I dont know what your talking about.

John Lynch is a good hard hitting safety. Brain Kelly....bah...he's an average DB at best and is mostly helped out by the Bucs cover 2 scheme. Trust me, he's not that good. Yes he led the leage in INT's but that's because teams threw to his side of the field more than they did Ronde's. Derrick Brooks is a good LB but he isn't going to be able to cover any of the Raider WR's coming across the middle. I do have to admit that watching him try to cover Garner out of the backfield would be funny though. Talk about someone getting torched. Derrick Jackson is kind of like Brain Kelly, average DB helped out by the cover 2 scheme the Bucs run.

That's funny? Tampa scoring 27 points against a good defense? Not likely. Yeah they scored 27 against Philly but that won't happen against Oakland. I'm still not sure what Coach Reid of the Eagles was thinking by backing off their normally agressive defensive play calling and trying to play it safe. Guess he just got a bit tight assed and ended up choking his team.

As long as the score at the end of each quarter ends in a Tampa Bay 4, and an Oakland 3, my wallet is the BIG WINNER!!!!!!! Especially if the final score ends that way. I'm hoping for a final score of Tampa Bay 14, Oakland 13! Best possible outcome, TB wins, Oakland loses, and I'm $2,500 richer!!!!!!!!! :D

How much poorer are you in the likely event that the scores don't end in 4 and 3 and Tampa loses?

Oh it doesn't matter if TB wins or not, that's just how I'd like the outcome to be. It was only a $25 pool, so if I don't hit anything, no big deal, just makes the game more fun to watch.
