I cannot control 4 of the 10 creature that I tamed. I am mad because the creatures are not nearly as good as the rancors, graul maulers, or gurrecks.

Now as far as the people that bought rancors, etc and are not CH, then it's great that the patch was released. I, however, have over 400,000 CH XP and can't control a baby Piket?

I like how they made a patch to fix a couple dozen things, yet the lag is still really bad, I've already had items disappear when I drop them in my house, and my creatures (that i can currently control) still wander off or stop following me.

Why should you have pets such as rancors, frenzied grauls, arachne webmaster, gurrecks, or any pet that is close in power unless you are master ch. These pets plus a couple others are the pinnacle of the ch's power. Of course you will not have any pet that are as good as these because you are not a master thus not worthy 🙂

You can't look at what level pets you deserve only on the amount of exp you have. This is a skllls based game as in you become more powerful as you get higher in the skill trees. So in the ch line we have 4 different skill lines we can go up. Just because you have enough points to go up all the way to taming 4 doesn't mean you should have access to those pets if you don't train up to taming 4. So because you can't get access to the higher pets until you train, then why should you have anything close to the master level pets if you havent trained up to master? I don't think you should have access to pets close to gurrecks when at taming 4 because to me there is a huge gap between taming 4 and master. For example lets say you do taming 4 first before any of the other 3 trees, well you have 12 more boxes to fill, which is quite a bit meaning that the difference between a master and you is huge. Why should you have access to pets close to what masters have access to, doesn't that cheapen the meaning of master? Master is an achievement and proper awards should come with it such as the uber pets we get 🙂

The gurrecks and webmasters have over 10k ham plus armor 2. That is rediculous, I hope you realize with resistances these 2 pets have over 50% damage reduction to their 10k+ hams. Imagine having multiple of these out, you are a tanking god. This is way too powerful for the untrained and should be only reserved for the master 🙂

I state again: I understand the nerfing of gurrecks, rancors, etc. I, however, was able to tame some "strong" creatures...with no armor....and few special protections....and now I cannot call them.

Hey, I've seen you around before I think. I just recently switched over to Tempest. My character's name is Rakanishu. Doctor/Armorsmith.

 
As long as you're bumping this...

I can't recommend this game to anyone for any reason. It's so bugged right now it's barely playable.

1. My girlfriend is a chef. Her factories doesn't work. Spits out one item, eats the resources for another item, then quits.

2. Some of the resources she needs are non-existant. Need milk for a recipe? Forget it, nobody has ever seen it in game.

2. I took a mission to kill 45 womp rats. Before the recent huge patch, you couldn't leave a town on Tatooine with tripping over a womp rat. Since I took that mission, I haven't seen one.

3. I haven't gotten anything off dead enemy for days. Not a locked container, not a crappy weapon, not a single credit.

4. As a creature handler, I don't mind not being able to tame or control stronger creatures. I do mind the fact that the creature I can get is nearly dead after one measly fight with a weak creature, and now takes hours to heal.

5. As a smuggler, there's nothing to smuggle. I'm basically a drug dealer right now. Without locked containers to slice, I can't advance in slicing. The underworld and dirty fighting lines in smuggler are basically worthless, I'd be better off using those pistol XP to become a pistoleer. Which leaves me with the spice line. Oh boy, I'm a small time pusher.

I'm about to cancel.
 
here are my current gripes and groans about the game:

1. My species. I should have NEVER chosen Mon Calamari. I should have taken Zabrak or Human. I can't wear several items of clothing. My character is weak. I can't fight. I get my ass kicked on a regular basis. In order to wear the full set of padded armor, I had to get the helm, chest plate, and leggings sliced. I'm not even going to try to get composite.

2. Because of my species, I am going the way of the creature handler. I figure if I can't beat 'em, I'll sick my creatures on 'em. I have 10 creatures in my datapad. 2 are uncontrollable until I attain master CH (probably another 2 or 3 weeks). 4 of them are uncontrollable by me, even though I tamed the things myself. The rest are a bunch of pansies that I have to store after fighting a couple crazed durnis. A creature handler with well over 400,000 CH XP should be able to control some big nasties like a regular graul or plains hunter.

3. Disappearing weapons/items. Over the past few days, I've had the following items disappear from my inventory: 1K+ Wolly hide, ee3 carbine, fwg5 pistol, sr combat pistol, 4 weapon upgrade kits, and miscellaneous bone/meats, etc. I got back the ee3 carbine and the sr combat pistol, but the fwg5 is still gone...despite a ticket submitted to the CSR.

4. Shuttle waits. In Theed, there is no waiting for the starport. Why does every other port have a 10 minute wait?

5. Missions. Got harder and cheaper. Why can an artisan get a mission for almost 3x the money when I am a master marksman and almost get killed trying to make a couple credits?

I'm a doctor on Bria and had the same problem with the factory. A quick fix to it is to pull the items from the crates and input those into the hopper. The food and chemical factories have a problem pulling from crates for some reason.

 
I had something strange happen to me maybe someone can figure it out.

I bought a laser carbine for 3000 credits brand new. When I logged in a few days later and used it, I almost got killed because my carbine wasnt doing any damage. I looked at it and saw it was -50/950. Is that right? I IMed Sony about it but haven't gotten a response.
 
I've been thinking of getting into SWG but never played anything with a monthly fee before. I just finished KOTOR, i know it probably can't be compared, but i wants more! How is the battle system like? What game can the battle system be compared to. Also what kind of frames are you guys getting?

I beta-tested for SWG... I hope the game play is much better now.. it was a little laggy and slow at times. But since my roommate and I both play, it was sorta fun just to do group stuff. BUT, IMHO, its not worth the monthly cost so I stopped after beta.

Have fun guys! The new Anandtech group sounds very tempting... but I'm a poor college student so can't afford that account fee.

If you do know of any "bugs, cheats, tricks, etc." you will be banned from the game. An MMORPG isn't like your average single player game. Cheating can ruin the game for thousands of people which can cut directly into the company's profit if people quit. They don't put up with that crap.

I'm Roukk on Tarquinas, usually on Tatooine also. My girlfriend is Chaccakkan on Corellia, but she spends most of her time making Tatooine Sunburns.
 
I am Col'eyn on Ahazi, novice brawler, about halfway through expert. This game is way too much fun sometimes. 😛
