i dont know im thinking that might not be the best way of dooing it because some will be there longer then others, but you can do it anyway, i might result to judges if i cant think of a better way

I could juat make a MASSIVE poll tho

Awww yuck. Puh-lease don't make that poll! If anything perhaps a php/database script with radial boxes (or whatever you're wanna use to score the images) next to the linked thumbnailed images in their respective categories. Though it'd be boring coding that for each picture, I think that's the easiest way to get an "overview" of all the submissions. Or I wonder if people should email/PM you for their votes so that people aren't rating a picture more than once (though that'd be alot of work for you).....err...how are these getting scored anyway?

I'm gonna abstain from commenting/rating pictures until all the submission period is over. I think that's best, and it's kinda how most contests like this work anyway (isn't it?).

What's the exact date for submissions to be in.

which means i have 2 weeks to figure out how these are getting scored / rated

I like the idea of a php script which shows you the pictures and gives you the chance to vote and all.

Do you have a box (preferably unix/linux) which has mysql/php?

yes the server that the site is running off of is a linux server and im sure it has all that stuff coppermine uses PHP and msql is there as well
