My personal pick would be Roy Williams, but maybe they might want a defensive player like Gamble or DJ Williams.

I'd be against Gallery for 2 reasons:

1) OTs tend to make a lot of money, and Giants already have one very expensive one in Luke Pittigout. As soon as Galery hits FA in 3 years he'll just leave the Giants, who won't be able to afford the bidding war.
2) You always pick the best player available, not what you need.

This being said, I'd rate the top 5 players like this:

1. Eli Manning
2. Lary Fitzerald
3. Ben R.
4-6. Sean Taylor, Kevin Udeze, Roy Williams
7. Gallery

So Giants should pick one of those guys, in that order, depending on who's available.

Hrmm right I forgot about that....

I agree and change my vote to the best available player. Im not sure I would take Ben R. though...

Edit
If possible I would trade down for two late first rounders.

Trading down is not possible in this mock draft..

I'd pick either Ben R. or Gallery.

Taken in the first pick.

I'm not sure I'd take Ben R., as Collins still looks like he has a few years left in him. If you want to look at the "best talent" out there, Roy Williams would be a better choice, and one that would be potentially more useful. OTs make a lot of money for a reason, though: dominating ones like Gallery are hard to find.

Well the argument against Williams is receivers make a lot of money too but they are replaceable unless you are TO, Moss, or Holt.

Sean Taylor was taken in the third pick. ;)

The problem is that any player taken at this point in the draft will be expensive later on (unless they flop, which you don't want either).

In that case Giants will take Ben R. Collins has only 1 year left on his contract and Giants will need a quarterback anyways.

Do we have a consensus on Ben Roethlisberger?

I think there is still some debate between him and Gallery, but people are leaning towards the QB.

Ok guys, last chance.

Robert Gallery, Offensive Tackle out of Iowa
or
Ben Roethilsberger, Quarterback out of Miami (OH)

Choose between these two!

Ben R. You don't pass on a franchize quarterback to pick an offensive tackle. Ernie Accorsi, GM of the Giants mentioned several times that he'll do his best to pick up either Manning or Ben R. in this draft.
