ya. i really disliked noir and this series. i thought it really lacked a plot. just too much violence (which i don't mind) and useless nudity. the underlying love theme was the only thing i felt this anime had. oh well. im sure there are plenty anime i love and others hate (i.e. champloo is my favorite anime of all time).

what gives? still waiting for the latest Yakitate and Mahou Negima...

I should start watching basilisk, is there a group that's doing it still from episode 1? i don't like to change subgroup midway.

well only one group is doing it in english now and they started at ep 8 so your gonna pretty much have to have 2 diff groups on this one

gonna download tonite, the files are already up. finished downloading promo celebration show (or whatever they call it)

I missed out on Akahori too, the files are queued and should be done by the time i get home later tonite.

Just letting you know they have the HDTV version of Kamichu! out (eps 1 and 2).

Is the series any good?

I wouldnt say it really hit the spot for me, but definitely worth a look and is very high quality. It should be noted how beautiful the background seaside town looks. Are you into japaense traditional fairytale type of stuff? Many shows in september are in fantasy setting of some sort; Shuffle!, Amanaideyo!, Kamichu!, Peto Peto San and Kidou Shinsenkumi. I have seen the first episodes for pretty much everything that tickled my fancy except for FMP:TSR and Akahori. check my sig for my preference :)

I'm not a diehard fan of fantasy, but I don't mind a change from action/mech anime. I've got the first episode downloading now, so I guess I'll check it out when it's done.

Any series you would compare it to so far?

does full metal panic get better later in the series? i just watched the first eps and while the animation quality and all is nice, the story is kinda childish....

So I watched the first episode. The quality on it is top notch (some of the best visual quality I've seen in any animation). You were right about it being traditional Japanese fantasy. Reminds me very much of Spirited Away.
