Oh that's very tempting On the other hand, I guess I can't fault the guy too much; the issue is that we don't sell 30,000 processors per quarter like some other companies, and thus don't get preferential treatment with shipments!

It's definitely looking brighter at this point. We have filled our 4200 orders, and our 4600 orders as well. Obviously, we are still waiting on the 4400's, but they have to be very quick in comming now. Two of our major sources are showing in stock dates of/around August 1st, and while those have not proved particularly reliable in the past, at least they finally agree! So yes, there is definitely light at the end of the tunnel now.

Good news!

We have a few 4400+'s shipping to us today. Any customers whose orders will be filled by these have already been contacted. This bodes very well though, looks like we should get more pretty quick thereafter, and be able to fill remaining orders. Finally!

That makes perfect sense. But back on the hand with the thumb pointing downard, your rep should have known this and made it very clear that you might have to wait a while. That's his job, eh?

Great news!

Our main shipment of X2's just left for our warehouse this morning. We have enough to cover all of our remaining pre-order customers. So for any of you with outstanding X2 orders with us, you can expect your processor in the very near future! We expect to recieve them at the beginning/middle of next week, and we'll turn around and send them out to you that day if possible, otherwise first thing the following morning.

After all this waiting and frustration, this is finally some good news I can actually say we have a definite ETA!

BTW, my account status changed to pending, but I never got an email. You might want to send those out to everyone who is still waiting. Not all of them will be reading this forum, and some might want to order other parts now that you've finally got an ETA on the CPU. I don't know about everyone else, but after all the emails early on, I was sure I'd get one when the chips were shipped to you.

I had Erik send e-mails to everyone... that's really weird. Messages should have gone out 7/29 with a subject line of something like, "AthlonX2 (Good news!)". Well that's annoying!

Okay, I'll have someone work on putting comments into the orders as well, to be safe. I'm sorry you didn't get your message. Did anyone else?

Oh, and we will have extras, but the problem is that they just kind of trickle in at this point. For example, I had one particular order for 10 units, we got 4 shipped one day, 3 the next, and still 3 on backorder. We are definitely getting more though, so any new orders should get filled, it just might take a few extra days. like before, I can't garauntee a date, but at least we'll finally be shipping out our first batches in the next few days!

$598.18, with shipping running about $8-$15 depending on your location. We had a free shipping promotion going for a while, but we had to stop it now, since our original plan of drop shipping direct from our distributor fell through, we ended up eating the cost on all the free shipping people and lost about $5 per sale

We can accept paypal, but your best bet is to place an order on our store with a standard credit card, just to hold your order. Put in the comments section that you wish to pay with PP, and we won't charge your card, only hold an authorization for safety. We can circumvent the CC requirement all together, but then we have to process the order outside the website, and you won't have access to your order history/information via the website then, which is kind of a bummer.

Oh yea that's fine, we won't actually *bill* your credit card. We'll just use that to hold your order. When it comes time to ship, we'll contact you for PP payment, and void the CC charge. I just think that's the best way to do it so that you have access to your invoice/order history on our website, and we'll be better able to keep track of your order. If I do an "external" order I'll have to print up an invoice for you, and with as crazy as it is around here, I wouldn't want it to get lost in the shuffle.

So if you place your order by a credit card, we won't bill it, we'll still take your PP payment, it just makes administration/tracking a lot easier!

Did that for a while, but allow me to demonstrate the math behind that idea:

Price we charge: $598.37 (close enough)
Minus our cost: -$576.12
Credit card fees: -$17.35

This leaves a grand total markup of only ~$5. Now, that's before I pay employees, advertising, leases, etc etc. So really, once all that is taken into consideration, it's more like a profit of $1 if I'm lucky. So if we do free shipping, we end up essentially "paying" people $6-$8 to buy a processor. While I'd love to do it, we wouldn't be in business very long if we did

No, just a stupid typo. We are indeed shipping out some first thing tomorrow morning. We got them at about 4:10 EST today, of course AFTER our pickup for shipment. So, they'll go on our morning truck tomorrow. Celebrate, these things are finallly shipping!

Oh, and no, we don't have any extras leftover from that shipment, it still wasn't quite enough to fill existing orders. We are getting more pretty quickly though.

4400+. shipped overnight, with arctic silver heatsink compound = $605

Should have it Thursday or Friday for less than I was paying anyone else to wait a week for one. And I needed the arctic silver anyhow, forgot to order it before.

Now is where I find out... oh, oops, sorry no we sold out of those already. CheapGuys.com did that to me already. *grr*. Mwave is a bigger operation so lets just hope the got in a major shipment of some sort.
