As for Karma, I've been mostly saving it, except for buying a few salvage kits and gathering tools. As I do in other games, I've been trying to get by on dropped gear, but it's getting tougher to be effective at higher levels. By the time I looked into Karma armor, I was in the gap between 40 and 60 where I don't think they offer any (50+) sets. Anyway, it probably wouldn't be worth it since I don't hang onto gear that long. Hopefully, I'll have enough of a Karma pile to get an item or two at 80.

I'm probably lucky I passed on the level 40 Karma gear or I might have gotten caught up in the mispriced Karma vendor bans.

Kuz--you were not kicked from guild. as soon as you PM'd me about it, I responded. client is telling me that you are not online when I try to respond (crazy, I know).

Yes, I don't see you in the roster, but something unsurprisingly screwy is going on. It will be sorted out soon, I'm sure.

Oh right--ANet is doing maintenance at the moment, "may effect connectivity." It's possible they are dealing with the frequent guild issues.

it says i don't have any crafting ability yet. do i have to be a min level? I think I need to grind a little bit more. I'm level 9 and I'm stuck on a level 10 quest because I get one shot buy this mob every time for some reason. Either that or my thief build sucks for damage.

you can start crafting at level 1. you need to find and talk to the trainers in your capital city to access crafting. It's free, and you can train 2 at one time.

Actually, it just happened again (second time since I posted) and it didn't look like anything hit me at all. It was almost like I ran too far from the revive point and instantly lost all health. Similar to how a mob can reset and regen back to full health if you pull it too far away from its spawn point.

My system isn't up to capturing video, but otherwise I'd record it.

You aren't using vengeance are you ? ( downed skill 3 ) - that rallies you for 20 seconds then kills you.

Yesterday I had a blast in Diessa Plateau. I was doing some stuff around the south when I saw that the Town of Nageling was under attack by a Giant...freaking huge Giant! Awesome I said and joined the beating. We were approx 15-20 players fighting the Giant.

After dying 3 or 4 times in quick succession due to the stomp AoE attack of this beast I remembered that we could dodge. So after reviving again I was back in melee range and everytime the Giant would raise his foot to stomp the ground I dodged it and it worked!

It took 21 levels to realise that a well-timed dodge could be a life saver lol...

Shame on me I guess :p

This game is pure fun. Just got to the Black Citadel yesterday and damn it's a mess in there hahahah! Took me a couple of minutes to position myself in this new capital.

Got a 3 days weekend ahead of me so I feel it's gonna be some quality virtual time :p

Main is warrior as i always play melee. Also leveling a ranger and engineer.
I've wasted too many years on FFXI, WoW, and GW1 and now I guess I'll waste some more on GW2.

lol well at least there's a ton of other stuff to do. I'm still trying to get used to crafting. Having a tough time figuring out what would be the best for a warrior. I just chose armorsmith & weaponsmith for right now.

This is always the claim, but the bottom line is that it's like a war: as soon as the first shot is fired, the plans go out the window.

Still, it's nice that they're trying to control the quality of gameplay, and it's nice that you can still level while in the queue.

I see the guild bank is up. Meant to add 2 8 slot boxes last night but forgot.

Quick question, may seem a noob guild question but oh well :)

what is the proper way to using the guild bank, ie if you take something out you put something back in? or just somewhat a free for all?

Guild Stash Rules

1) Don't be a dick.
2) Don't be a troll
3) Don't be a jackass
4) Zin is required to have a babysitter when visiting the stash.
5) Only on tuesdays and fridays between the times 3pm and 3:22pm will I allow people to grab from the stash.

In all seriousness :

1) Don't be a dick
2) Don't be a troll
3) If you see something you will use, great use it. If it isn't soulbound when your done try and put it back (Plan on having 1 of each weapon type in there for quick alt / new people weapon leveling)
4) Place things in there people may use and that you don't mind giving up for free
5) Unless mail is not working, do not use this to trade items with people
6) If you want to place money in there great! Otherwise unless some gold costs (maybe something that is worth converting to gems for?) are created for the guild, i dont know if it would be worth putting money into it.

Also, for anyone interested. I am thinking of saving money to convert to gems. ATM it is 90s --> 249 Gems (2.76 gems per silver)

200 gems = a package of 7 random dyes. 5 common dyes and 2 uncommon or rare dyes

Its linked to all characters, you just have to represent i believe on alts.
