I have still yet to finish a game. I have been DC'd from around 15.

Apparently, if you right click on BF3 Beta in Origin and select Check for updates, it downloads another 3.9 GB file which is a slightly different version.
The new update creates a folder call "Battlefield 3 BETA", the original one was "Battlefield 3 Open Beta".

If anyone gets the new version, let us know if key binding works any better. Or binding to a mouse works at all...

Anyone tried, or seen any feedback on the new version? I'm downloading it now, but I have about an hour to cancel it.

Ummm...yes they did. Says so right on the retail box of MoH. And inside the box as well. And on every site taking preorders for BF3.

Anyways, I feel much better after playing Caspian Border. I think a lot of people would have as well. If they just put that map into the rotation, a lot of complaints would quiet down because everyone would be playing instead of bitching!

Anyone tried, or seen any feedback on the new version? I'm downloading it now, but I have about an hour to cancel it.

Mine says it is up to date and there are certain things I can't bind keys to. The crouch / prone [hold] doesn't work. Also, if I don't bind a key my mouse cursor goes away. Not to mention I am still getting DC'd every game and it isn't saving my kills or deaths. Was just like 20 and 3 and got DC'd but it saved my points. Yeah, I am done for now with this shit.

Anyone else finding that at times you aren't aware you are being shot or shot at, and then just..die? Not even from sniper kills but the other types of weapons. I'll be standing or moving, not even see someone and then pop dead with no indication I was being hit. I'm assuming this is probably server lag?

that is everytime for me. no idea where i am getting killed from.

Happens all the time. I assume I was headshot.

caspian is great. seriously.

its way more polished than metro, no falling into holes ETC

a few wide open fields, some hills and forest, lots of vertical changes

like I said, metro really needs playtesting and fixes. tons. after playing caspian its obvious why they are pushing metro, they needs the data. its worse off than the alpha version in ALOT of ways

Just curious...do you think it's Metro itself that needs fixing, or also BF3 Rush in general? In other words...would a different style of Rush map perhaps not have the deck stacked against it to begin with?

Don't forget, there are supposedly going to be Rush maps with jets...and I don't know HOW they are going to balance that one.

Anyone else have this issue, which is a big one, with the server browser in that if you attempt to enter a password certain keys on the keyboard move the selection around so in the end you are now attempting to enter a completely different server? Maybe a chrome fault?

I haven't had that problem and I am using chrome.

Try and get into the Caspian game with the current password it is still Appletini

It made my opinion of the game do nearly a 180. Prone is still pretty gay though imo.

Just played a few rounds in a row and noticed I was starting to lag for a few seconds every few minutes. I looked at the performance meter on my G15 and noticed I was holding at about 80% CPU and 83% Memory. I was out of memory so the game was swapping to the drive. Opened up windows permon and BF3 was using just under 2GB of ram. lol

Might need to get more ram only have 4GB

It seems my rig is just getting by.

So it wont let me bind the keys how I want. And when I try I have to hit ESC to back out of it because my mouse pointer goes missing. And is there no way to adjust your bindings other than being "deployed"?

I cant even play right now because it wont let me change the bindings. So annoying.

What is this update? I right clicked on it to check for update and it gives and error, tries again and says everything is up to date. I restarted origin and now it doesn't even have an option to check.

Sigh, was having my best game yet on Caspian, and as always, the game just shut down (or disconnects). I was rocking it in my tank and had a gunner from my squad. I wont give a crap since it is beta, but since I keep getting knocked out of games, I can't get shit unlocked.

I've joined a couple Caspian servers (password "Appletini"), but I get disconnected almost immediately after I get in the game

I did get one to keep me in for about 10 minutes and it was fun - gunned in a chopper and took out a tank with an RPG. Definitely feels more like Battlefield.

Finally got in a few Caspian servers. Very pretty!

Seems like every time Im doing well in a game I get disconnected. GRRRR!

My guess is that's why they haven't opened it up in the beta - map still seems to be pretty buggy.
