I thought you said WVU would play for the National Championship.
How's that big mouth workin' out for you?
That's right, you were backing Mill on "the bet" and forgot what "if" meant. Yolk on face = mmm mmm good...
Yes, because WVU didn't lose and you didn't have to close your big mouth. I believe you said there wasn't a team that could shut them down. Oops.
Then you spoke of how great the Big East is. Now there's no undefeated team, and their BCS bid could be a team that gets blown out. We will see.
No team can stop Slaton/White in the nation, I said it then and I'll say it now. Louisville sure as hell didn't stop sh**, WVU's D didn't come through. Get back to me after you go look at where WVU is ranked in points per game scored. They will easily get an at large BCS bid after they beat Slutgers in Morgantown.
The Big East top to bottom is better than every other conference including the Big Ten. Go to Dullard's latest thread of rankings, he speaks the truth (he's not even a Big East fan). It's why Louisville and WVU are ranked 4-3 in his poll.
Top to bottom? Dullard has three Big East teams in his top 20, three Big 10 and five SEC.
Now, take the 3 worst teams and let's compare. There's reason why WVU and UL are 3-4 in his rankings even though how many tough teams have they really played (1 or 2)? Thanks for playing.
So... you think Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and South Florida are good teams or something? Or you think Syracuse is really better than Stanford or Mississippi or other bottom feeders?
It's subjective, but yes I think Syracuse is better than other bottom feeders. They almost beat Iowa (2OT) and was only down 3 to WVU at the half of their game (they played a solid first half). Furthermore, they beat UConn who beat Indiana who beat #15 at the time Iowa, the team they lost to (still following? lol). They have a good young QB, star WR, and a kicker who hits 87.5% of his FG's. They are easily the worst team in the conf but I think they are better than most conf's worst teams.
Pitt is rebuilding but blew out Cincy, and of course Cincy will finish 4th in the BE if they can beat UConn. Cincy also had the monster upset on Rutgers. To quote from here:
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2670661
"Cincinnati played at No. 1 Ohio State [13-7 at the half] and at then-No. 11 Virginia Tech in nonconference games and was competitive in each before faltering late. It led Virginia Tech in the fourth quarter before losing, 29-13. If the Bearcats had played the nonconference schedule of several other Big East teams, they might very well be 8-3 and ranked. Reverse its 23-17 road loss against then-No. 7 Louisville -- a game that went to the final play when a Cincinnati pass fell incomplete in the end zone - and we might have one of the bigger stories in college football on our hands."
Additionally, South Florida is most likely headed to a Bowl Game with 7 wins and a good young QB (Grothe) and a kicker who just set the Big East record for a FG (56 yards).
