The Abit NF7-S came out today on newegg, and after I took a look at the Nforce2 roundup I think ABIT has something good going for them with their new board.

So while I wait for mine to arrive PLEASE post all your comments and benchmarks on this thread, and as soon as I get mine I will update this thread with info!

Abit NF7-S Reviews:

Abit sucks...they are letting ECS manufacture their boards now...I wouldn't pay an Abit price for an ECS board. Can't get any shittier then that.

ECS is going to make some OEM boards for Abit. the retail Abit boards are still made by Abit themselves--they just want to get into the OEM and greybox market. there is a very good interview with an Abit VP at OCWorkBench.com about this issue.

Apparently the NF7-S with the mounting holes will be a revision B that will trickle into the market after the current small shipment of no-hole NF7's disappear.

100% wrong, NONE of the leading ABIT boards are made my ECS....the only one I have seen made by ECS was a KT7, which is more of an OEM lite version board.

Ya when I saw this I freaked out also, but I got ahold of ABIT and they said that they next version should have the holes around the zif socket. Also it should be out by now. Personally I believe they just needed to send some boards out for review, because they have been tweaking this board to the max from the sounds of it.

i think it has a PCI bus locked at 33 MHz, right? only the asus and the epox have this feature, which is cool for FSB OCing. there, i made a contribution.

Shhh don't let anyone know you dont have a clue.

Do you really believe Abit would let ECS make them an inferiour board?

Hmmm a lot of People bought the ECS K7S5A and sucessfully use them eveyday over clocked and all. Me included. Runs fine at 150 and for that time it was good not now but

its been doing it for almost 2 years now.

This has been the most stable board I have owned. I like Abit they had the best board of the Celeron 300A.

I will be ordering 1 soon

Xmas for me :)
