Isn't that the competitor to SpaceX? SpaceX is private.
100% no... not even close BUT when spacex has success it rubs off, been riding spce since 17.. almost double up now, when they begin taking on customers and spacex sends its first starship to mars in a few years this is going 200+. Wait for it.

What other markets do you think Tesla is going to dominate in besides their electric cars though?

The reason Amazon/Apple, etc... get such high values is because they are so... dominant and also able to branch out into other profitable places (e.g. AWS for Amazon, Whole Foods for retail, huge e-commerce distribution for expansion, you get the gist).

I'm also not talking Elon Musk - I'm asking what specifically is showing signs of being the next cash-cows for Tesla? (Not doubting you, I sincerely don't know).

.... And... flying taxi? Really?

How many times has it been explained to you that vehicles are already only one piece of what Tesla is? Do you honestly read the posts when people respond to you? lol.

You know those batteries don't just go in vehicles, right? You know they bought Solar City more than 5 years ago, right?

I've been a broken record here telling people everyday about Tesla's story. I probably repeated myself 1,000 times already. Yet people can't seem to grasp it. I don't know if it's because they have smooth brain, or they just hate Elon Musk so much that they let their hate blind them.

I imagine it's like million times worse for Elon. He tells people what he's going to do and everyone calls him crazy and tells him it's impossible and he will fail. Haters all gather and bet against Elon because what he said is impossible in their little minds. Elon ignores the haters, works incredibly hard, and does what he said he would do. The haters become even more furious and angry because they've been proven wrong. The cycle repeats. It's pretty crazy how people keep doubting and betting against Elon and Tesla.

People used to doubt Steve Jobs too. I was one of those people. I had put my entire savings into Apple stock, only to sell it because I didn't fully believe Steve Jobs could do it. The Apple shares I sold are worth over $100 million today. That serves as a daily reminder to me about Elon and Tesla. The only company that can pass Apple is Tesla IMO. And I think that will happen sometime in the next decade.

So here's to the crazy ones!

Mr. Jobs, Elon Musk will make you proud.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/08/tesla-to-raise-up-to-5-billion-in-share-offering.html

Before this news came out this morning in the premarket, TSLA shares hit $679. It sucks for my $700 calls but that's ok because the S&P inclusion will easily absorb this $5 billion share sale. Smart play by Elon and Tesla to raise another $5 billion by diluting less than 1% of Tesla shares. Tesla will end this year with over $20 billion cash in the bank. It's super bullish and great news for longterm Tesla investors. You give Elon $20 billion and he can pretty much go to work and do everything he needs with that money. This is like when Wall St. kept giving Jeff Bezos money he needed to build out all his warehouses, distribution centers, and logistics so Amazon could dominate internet shopping. The market is giving Elon the same deal. Now it's up to Elon and Tesla to fulfill their mission.

Elon is throwing S&P a bone and showing mercy to the S&P committee. I wanted no mercy but it's ok. This is the smarter play. Well done Elon.

Here a pot, sorry I mean a cannabis stock that's been under the radar for months, Terrascend TRSSF based in Canada. It's up over 3x in 6 months. It's still going up today too. It's OTC. At over $10 at least it's not a penny stock anymore, for now.

Edit: It may be going up nicely today as of 8am pst because imho it got national coverage yesterday (Monday) when a major financial television network showed its chart for the last six months, the 3x rise.

Sold some weekly TSLA $600 puts on this dip lower. Feels like free money to me. Just like the $580 puts I sold last week and the $550 puts I have expiring this Friday were free money. If TSLA drops below $600 on Friday, I'm ok with buying the shares. I'll sell any shares I buy or get assigned to S&P on Dec 18th.

I tried to buy more Jan 15 $400 and $700 calls but market makers are not interested in selling it to me. The premiums are going up rather than down and they don't want to sell it. Which tells me they know TSLA is going higher. Everyone knows. This dip is like fake dip.

Yup, this dip is fake as hell. TSLA is down close to 2% and Jan 15 $700 calls are up almost 2%. If this dip wasn't fake, OTM calls like that would be down pretty decent and not up. People are buying the $700 calls because they know TSLA is going higher and not believing in this fake dip. This dip is fake news.

My company ESP just went up, it's still down compared to say a year ago, but my return is now in the positives for the first time since covid. This is pretty great to see. Sitting at 39k right now. Crazy to think I have that kind of money just sitting there. I can't take all of it in one shot even if I wanted to though, each individual unit has to sit for at least 2 years, but I would probably be able to get like 20k or so. Very tempting to cash that in but I think I will wait, I doubt my company is going anywhere and it's bound to go back up to the normal rate which would bring me at like 43k or so. Of course it will be higher by then since I'm still putting my 12% in. Been buying low throughout covid so in a way this dip for a year or so is good for me.

Still looking at buying bush property so this is the money I will use to pay for a good portion of it. The dividends actually pay pretty well too, I forget the exact numbers but it works out to several hundred per quarter. So even though I have a credit line right now that I could pay off I'm better off leaving the shares in until I can buy the property I want. I would just put the property on the credit line while I wait for the shares to be the right price to cash in.

My ESP is basically the only shares I'm making money on. Also making a bit off Dynacert which is kind of funny since that one was doing super bad for a while and we all bought in at work and then kind of regretted it haha.

FedEx just delivered my Tesla Short Shorts! :D

It was really nicely packaged and the box feels premium. Felt almost like unboxing Hermes box. :p

I ordered medium size. I should've ordered small. Medium is too big on my wife. Small would fit much better. Still, I'm super thrilled with the Short Shorts. Well worth $69.420. Absolute bargain! Would buy again!

So I sold an 1/8 NVDA put at $500 yesterday when NVDA was still flying high above $540 for around $1000.

Yikes. NVDA almost dropped below $530 today before recovering to a degree. There's no way I can let that put be exercised. I can't absorb $50,000 worth of NVDA right now. I spent almost 65% of all of the cash I have to my name to buy Pfizer.

Part of me says "just buy it back" but the gambler in me wants to let it ride.

So Elon apparently did move to Texas.

He better be stealthy if he intends to spend any substantial time in California. I guarantee you the CAL tax agency (whatever its called) will put private investigators on him.

They're losing a ton of revenue. Maybe in the billions?

Maybe he wants to be closer to his rockets?

It's not like he moved the factory, right?

I'm only talking abut his personal finances. I've never lived in California but isn't the capitol gains like 15% there? And hasn't Musk made like 80 billion this year?
They were talking about jacking up their top tax rate another 3% as well... I think they were even saying retroactively mid year through.

People with large sums are seeing the benefits of moving out of those places.

I've done well trading Spice lately. I decided to buy back the short calls, sell the stock and associated protective puts. Totally out for now.

Launch is on Friday. It could leap to $40 afterwards near term or fall back into the $20s. There is a lot of new money looking for a payoff, so I figured the easy money has been made short term.

The near term catalyst is the launch and there could be different scenarios ahead....

1) Momentum carries into the $40s and $50s as we enter '21 and WS looks for a new story to focus on.

2) Buy the rumor, sell the news. After the launch, consolidation $20s.

3).......the launch is scrubbed again, the stock craters.....

(If you have held this long, then none of the above probably matters to you anyway. ;) )
