interesting you have nearly every visiting team winning

Well, tI hink that for this week anyway, the road teams are the better teams.

I don't know about the Detroit game seeing my home team is the Lions, though I love San Diego.

When in doubt, pick your home team.

But you do care about Browns/Jets? That might the worst game of the year right up front in Week 1.

I'm freaking tired of Bowz/Giants games on Primetime.

No matter how bad those teams are, they get the SNF every year.

You're right! The Cowboys are terrible... Who cares they are like the number 1 and number 4 teams in terms of popularity and market. And, for the last like 5 seasons (with last season the exception), these division rivalry games have been decider in who wins the division.

But, I get it. You care about the Browns and the Jets more... We should have them play on SNF instead.

I'm going to disagree with you on:

Chiefs @ Texans - Houston's pretty good.
Browns @ Jets - Two bad teams, I think Jets can win this one.
Lions @ Chargers
Titans @ Bucs - Yes, I think the only one you called for the home team is wrong.
Ravens @ Broncos - Peyton Manning will get it together. He has to, dammit! ;)

Eagles @ Falcons
Vikings @ Niners

Plus the Cowboys screwed over the Lions in the playoffs last year by buying the refs on that pass interference call. Screw those guys.

I wasn't saying they're terrible. Just tired of seeing them play each other.

Hey, I'm a fan -- fans aren't necessarily rational and objective. I'm like any other fan of any other team. I want to see my teams play! :D

Hoyer's not really good, but that defense is IMO.

Chargers/Lions should be excellent. I'm a Lions fan but Rivers is better than Stafford right now, and I love the Chargers as well.

Always liked them.

Ravens, dude...sorry..:D

I always love how people put so much of pre-season play into their calculations when it comes to regular season. Frankly I just use it to see how much of the team is healthy and what the general plan of attack is for the teams.

I'm a Broncos fan and what I saw during pre-season was that they were trying to go with a more balanced approach on the offensive side of the ball, leaning a bit towards running. On the defensive side it looks like we're going to try to be even more aggressive and if things go right our defensive line could be pretty scary.

Will the Ravens give the Broncos a good contest? Sure, I think it'll be a pretty good game to watch. Do I think the Ravens will beat the Broncos on their home turf? Nope. I'm far from a Vegas bookie but my offhand guess would be Broncos 28 Ravens 17.

The 2008 Detroit Lions went 4-0 in the preseason before going 0-16 in the regular season.

I guess we'll see what the Pats defense can do to slow down a really good offense. With Wilfork gone and Butler as the best DB they have Brady needs to keep the ball out of Ben's hands as much as possible.

Pats @ Steelers - I don't think the Pats defense can keep up with Steeler's O, at least, not yet. (8:30 NBC)

SUN SEPT 13
Pack @ Bears - I hope my new job has some Bears fans. I want to laugh in their face.
Chiefs @ Texans - Texans will be good on defense, and that is about it. I feel bad for Watt. He deserves to be on a better team.
Browns @ Jets - Even without a QB (with or without Geno, lol), I think the Jets have some tools. And the factory of sadness is just awful.
Colts @ Bills - I think this will be pretty close, but Indy will pull it out.
Fins @ Skins 1PM - Lol worthy failure by the Skins.
Panthers @ Jags - Eh, who cares?
SeHawks @ Rams - Rams won't win in Century Link, but they have a chance at home.
Saints @ Cards - Not too sure about this one, so I'm just picking one.
Lions @ Chargers - Phillip needs money for another kid! He will perform.
Titans @ Bucs - This will be a terrible game. Hopefully, Winston can show something.
Bengals @ Raider -Raiders will surprise more than a few this season with some wins, but the Bengals only play bad in the playoffs.
Ravens @ Broncos - Broncos will have a fresh Manning (who I don't think will play well at the end of the season / playoffs unless they really offload to Anderson, and Kubiak might do that). Don't think the Ravens can stop Manning and co this early.

SNF
Giants @ Cowboys - RB by committee maybe? Hopefully, one RB will shine and stop that idiocy.

MON SEPT 14
Eagles @ Falcons - The Eagles are going to be scary good on offense this season. It will show in this first game. If they can keep everyone healthy (O Line, Bradford, etc), they will be good.
Vikings @ Niners - Niners are going to be a 4 or 5 win team this year, and I don't feel one of those will be against the Vikings.

Y'know, I considered picking the Niners for that game, but with AP back and Teddy B playing really well last season, I don't see you guys winning.

I could be wrong, but you all lost way too much on defense and coaching.

Seems like it will be a good game, though.
