It will be interesting to see what happens tonight. The last seven home teams have all won game 7 (I think that was the stat) but it'd be stupid to count out the Giants. It's going to be crazy with the relievers though. Either team could pull the starter in the first inning if a couple guys get on.

some of the shittiest hitting discipline I've ever seen.

Agreed. It looked like the Royals were trying to get themselves out. If they learned how to take a few pitches they could have gotten Bumgarner tired and on the bench after an inning. How does a team that relies on small ball and speed not understand the value of a walk?

LOL, not only did you lose, but you have to go back to living in Kansas City. Talk about taking a shit and eating it too.

Had it been against any other team besides my Giants, I would have been pulling for the Royals. Talk about a team that just a year ago was the epitome of irrelevant.

But as a guy who grew up on Mt. Sutro in the "married student housing" of UCSF, and a lifelong Giant fan, I couldn't be happier.

Bumgarner, man. Crazy ending. Great Series and final game though. For being a couple teams I don't care much about, the whole thing was really fun to watch, especially compared to some dull Series recently. (say, the other two Giants wins.)

Yep, last inning and a half he was really starting to show that he was pitching on faith more than ability. KC responded by swinging on every stupid ass pitch that was yet again not in the zone.

Imagine if it was Cain that hit that ball to center in the 9th. It would have been a game 7, bottom of the 9th, two out, game-tying inside-the-park home run. That would have been nuts.

Dynasty. Sandoval-Posey-Bumgarner-Lincecum-Pence-Affeldt-Casilla-Lopez-Romo-Bochy all now have at least 3 rings (Pence 4!!!! Phillies 08). Hot dam. Posey and Bumgarner probably have a shot to get into the Hall of Fame with Bochy due to their age. Baseball Ref has Posey statistically closest to HOFer Gabby Hartnett through age 27 and MadBum like big names Vida Blue/Dizzy Dean/Felix/Kershaw/Robin Roberts through age 24. Can't believe SF has MadBum locked in for another 3 years at under 6mil/year. Best contract ever.

Lopez was on the 07 Boston team, too.

the question is whether Sandoval wants money or another ring. the last talks between his agent and management broke off when they were asking for a contract like Pence's.
