Last year, yahoo's grading system was awful. If you landed AP and did decent you got an A. If you didn't land AP and did decent you got a B or less.

NFL.com did well this year. It graded you on how well you actually drafted and gave a projection for your record. The keeper league we started this year, two people got an A with a protection of 8-6. I was given a B+ due to reaching for Timothy Wright with a projection of 8-6.

I'm guessing espn uses projected points also, but their numbers are often strange. I mean, Jimmy Graham is projected for 28!

Well, that bodes well for my Emmanuel Sanders pickup, even though that was an accident.

Here's my line-up in the league I'm in:

QB1 Rodgers
WR1 Brandon Marshall
WR2 Crabtree
WR3 Cordarrelle Patterson
RB1 Ryan Matthews
RB2 Pierre Thomas
TE Vernon Davis

Bench:
P. Rivers
D. Woodhead
R. Cooper
Markus Wheaton (Pitt)

Def. Seattle

Already got a tough wk 1 with Rodgers @ Sea or Rivers @ Ariz.

I'd try my luck with Rivers. Arizona has a much weakened D. From PFF:
1. Missing Pieces on D
Daryl Washington is suspended for the entire year (and, in fact, his career might be over), leaving a significant hole in the middle of the Cardinals’ defense. His athleticism (19 total pressures in 2013, good enough for a team-high PRP of 11.5) will be hard to replace. This only amplified losing fellow ILB Karlos Dansby (who had a solid 10.8 Run Stop Percentage and 11.0 Tackling Efficiency) to Cleveland in free agency, coming off a career year as the leader in the middle of the defense. Adding insult to injury, defensive end Darnell Dockett tore his ACL in training camp, and while his production had slipped, his leadership will also be missed on a defense now suddenly without three veteran pieces from last year.
2. Edge Pass Rushing
Outside of Abraham, they don't have an effective pass rusher. Abraham also has a DUI hearing on Oct 10th (although that doesn't affect your game).

So aside from those, Tyrann Mathieu has also been nursing a sore knee.
He remains questionable for Arizona's regular-season opener on September 8. Aug 29 - 5:32 PM
This should give the Chargers a slight advantage vs the depleted Cards.

Just about to post that. Glad I avoided Welker in all my leagues simply because of his concussion issues.

Yep. Flyer on Cody Latimer in order? He is a SPARQ champ in the same vein as VJax.
Name HT WT AL 40 10 SS 3C BP VJ BJ pSPARQ simScore
Cody Latimer 6.20 215 32.63 4.44 1.55 4.09 6.62 23 39.0 10.50 134.0 N/A
Vincent Jackson 6.38 241 32.75 4.46 1.56 4.08 6.84 23 39.0 10.50 137.6 84.5

When studying pre-draft, there were fewer players I enjoyed watching more than Cody Latimer. Though raw, Latimer knew how to use his athleticism, playing with relentless physicality.

His test results are similar to those of Vincent Jackson, though he’s a smaller model. An ex-basketball player, that experience shows up in his ability to use his body in making contested catches. He flashes elite box-out ability at 1:40 in this DraftBreakdown clip, beating first-rounder Darqueze Dennard. The best way for a rookie to contribute is to have a bankable skill, and Latimer’s jump ball/contested catch ability could make him a contributor this year, particularly in the red zone.

Yes they are. Lets you play with your favorite defense guys (if you have any). Plus i think the defense decides alot of close matches. So you can't sleep on your def research

You guys have some fucked up scoring in that league.

I don't think so. The gm tweaked it so points can be found everywhere instead of whoever gets the elite rb's wins. If you are doing a snake, i think it is very fair.

I don't know man, it shows Manning with 1,054 points; in the main AT league he had only 434 points. Even at 6 points per TD, that would only be an additional 110 points, how the heck did PM have over 600 more points than in our standard league?

There's bonus points for longer receptions, reception td's, and over so many yards.

Here's the points from last year. Pretty even except for brees and manning.

The problem I have with IDP is that some of the metrics for player scoring is left up to the interpretation of people taking the stats in the NFL. It's pretty clear who is getting yards and what not on offense.

Another league I'm in does it. Not really a fan of it...but whatever. Worse thing is that it's just another thing to consider with bye weeks and it's one more position you have to burn waiver wire priority on. Kind of annoying now that I really think about it.

That being said, here's my team I picked in a 12 man league, non PPR. I was in the 10th spot and all major RB's and WR's were off the board by then. Ended up going the Jimmy Graham route. It's a weird team but I sort of like it.
