Uh, no.
http://storagenewsletter.com/news/financial/ocz-technology-fiscal-4q12-financial-results

"OCZ expects net revenue for its first fiscal quarter ending May 31, 2012 (Q1'13), to be in the range of $110 to $120 million."

They came in at $113M, and had bookings for the quarter of $140M. (couldn't ship that $27M worth because of a voltage regulator shortage, but the orders were there and the products have since been shipped).

That being said, the future of the stock pretty much hinges on their ability to gain PCI-E drive wins. They claim they have a lot of wins in the pipeline that are taking time to qualify/ramp, but the street does not believe them.

If you believe them, then buy in now. If they're actually right, the stock goes >$9 before end of year. If they were lying to us, then...well, we'll just be back here in the $4's.

Wait a min, there is people that believe "company promises" out there?

SWY just dropped 8% this morning to make a new 52 week low.

Its now at a multi-year low. Its lower now than it was after the stock market crash of 2008. Since management still believes it will reach guidance of $2.00/year EPS, which means a P/E of 7.7 and a dividend of 4.5% with room to grow, I think I will stick with it.

Well I bought 1000 shares OCZ on Wednesday at 4.48 -- will sell it all at open tomorrow for a tidy two day profit. Would have sold today had I been home and heard the news about a possible takeover

Hopefully no new news comes out tonight that causes it to drop back down

Oh come on. Be more greedy. Sell half and see if this buyout rumour has any more legs.

I am in almost the same as you. Mine is @~4.50. Thought about selling 800 @5.60 and letting the rest ride it out.

Or hold it all for the people that are just hearing the rumor and may run it up more.:)

Just gotta make my choice.

just jumped off the ocz ship. I had promised myself not to sell before the end of the year (I think it's going places) but I don't want to get greedy. out at 5.75 AH.

now to figure out what's next. thinking maybe put more into pfn / kfn for the dividends until I find some fun shorter plays.

If het stock tanks, you only collect the premium

What is OCZ worth? What is it trading at. If it is at fair value just dump it.

Yes, let's give the credit that we all understand the risks. My feeling is if you want to take some money out of the bounce while maintaining a position, selling some calls is a good way to do it.

Took my play-money half out Friday, made a couple hundred bucks, not bad for holding a week.

Looks like we're headed down again. Will re-enter within the next few days. Rinse-repeat.

Honestly, I am starting to think that NVDA is my single favorite ATM. At these levels, I wouldn't mind getting stuck "holding" it, but it always seems to go up whenever I initiate half of my intended position...so I'm always taking profits! :p

AMD has cost me a lot of money over the last few months, though. Ugh.

I sold all my OCZ shares at $6.00 on Friday afternoon, for an 11% profit in under three months. May consider purchasing again but only if it drops below $4.25, which appears to be a possibility if this rumored Seagate purchase fails.

I am watching AMD drop as I expected but am surprised to see my prediction coming true. I have never done a short sale before but had read up on how it works and had considered selling AMD short after writing my thoughts on why it would drop a week or two ago. It seems easier to tell when a stock will drop than when it will rise. That is really odd.

I hope my amateur thoughts on stocks in this thread are not so widely read as to be able to induce panic and fear noticeable in the market.
