I like Washington too. Without Britt and in a game where they will probably be down and forced to throw the ball.

Gotta wait and see with Meachem in SD

Yeah, good call. With Brown out in SD I kind of like Meachem, but Washington seems like he could go off.

Oh also, in a PPR league Rashad Jennings or Toby Gerhart (playing each other). Looks like they will both start, but I'm honestly torn as to who will be the better play.

KT

Gerhart is a relatively known quantity. He will probably get 15-20 carries with maybe 5.0 yards per carry on the lower end and the possibility of a TD. Plus we know he's a decent receiver out of the backfield (better than AP at least), which will help for PPR.

Good logic, plus I think the Vikes defense is slightly better than the Jags defense. I think I'll go Gerhart.

Gotta say Smith vs STL looks better than Brown vs CHI. Brown will probably get more carries, but Smith will have more productive ones and more catches out of the backfield.

Smith until LeShoure is back, which will be game 2. Remember what Murray did to the Rams last year? Smith could probably muster 1/3 of that and be safe on a pass first team like the Lions.

I should note this is a PPR league  Still think Smith is the way to go?

Standard league, I have to choose between Dalton, Palmer, or Locker as my starting QB . . . any advice?

I like Locker against the Pats over Dalton against the Ravens, I've never liked Palmer. I like Locker in general; picked him up for $2 in my keeper league.

I like Locker too. Definitely not Dalton.

Palmer was getting talked up in the off-season but had a terrible pre-season.

Smith all the way. I have him in a flex spot in my one and only league (PPR as well) and this may be the only good week to play him... but you should definitely play him. No question against the Rams defense. But he is always a high injury risk (seems the Lions RBs nearly always are).

That's your only choices? Ouch

Palmer's numbers were not that bad last year. In standard scoring he had a little over 15 points per game in 10 games. This would have been around 240 points over a 16 game start, not horrible.

I would just have a coin flip between Palmer and Locker.

AP is a gametime decision we already know that MJD will be playing. While MJD is not starting and is a third down back, we know damn well that if he looks better than Jennings early in the game they will be pounding the rock with MJD in no time.

I like Gerhart better

Foster at 5, Graham at 29, and Eli at 68? For a 12 team league? I'd say a championship is likely in your grasp. That's a decent team with good depth at most positions for a 12 team league.

That's a really good team on all fronts. In a 12 team league, no less. Were there a lot of new players/autodrafters in your league?

The league is mixed I guess...for 4 out of the past 5 years I have won the league (mostly luck out of my G.D. ass), last year I got the injury bug and went out first round...

The only one I missed on and was pissed was the backup rb for New York...David Wilson...

Great draft, looks like there could have been a few new people or autodrafts. I'm not huge on Reggie Bush this year as a number 2 RB in a non ppr league but you have Peyton Hillis & Jennings, one of them could step up if Bush starts to dip in points.

But hell what do I know, he could have an even better year. It's not like they have a dangerous receiving core and they are rolling with a rookie QB.

Not much more to say, looks like a good start for a nice leap into the playoffs.

That's an imaginary league or some super shallow 8 team or less league? I don't get how anyone can get a draft like that, even in a non competitive league.

yep, small group of computer guild peeps, would guess there is only 1 other really into football/fantasy. Passing TDs are only 4pts, so when rest were taking QBs for most of first couple of rounds I loaded up on the good pickings.

Still mad I lost the championship 2 years ago, that time they were running a <insert anything offense> flex position, I picked up Vick week 1 when kolb went broke and road 2 qb1's that year to an 11 game win streak in the season. Lost in the semis when other guy had a couple players do game of a lifetime performances on me.

But even if its a small group that knows nothing about football, they cant follow the ADP numbers? The websites give it to you an automatically updates the available player list during the draft, jeez

If you just do that at your needed positions you can draft OK. It blows my mind how bad some people draft.

I hope you go undefeated and laugh in their face while they are trying to decide which backup K,D/ST and TE to start based on matchups :p

it was a yahoo draft, they have that list but it doesn't change based on current scoring settings. Also several of the others were more concerned with filling all of the open positions before filling bench spots, when I saw that I was very happy :)
