sweet, didn't know there was an app!

Yeah, pretty nice so far. Need a game to start though to see how well that works.

Lakers, Mavs, Celtics, all miss playoffs.

Miami vs Chicago ECF
Clippers vs Thunder WCF

Miami overall...

I really hope not, even though I bet them at +340 to win it all since they seem unstoppable this year.

Mavs, Lakers will make the playoffs. Maybe 7/8 seeds with early round exits.
Thunder look good. Probably the class of the western conf.

DRose took CP3 out to the woodshed tonight. 29-16-8 line to go with 3 of 4 shooting threes.

Biggest thing I took from the game is that Jordan needs to put on his big boy pants and get some rebounds. He was the biggest guy on the floor and just signed a $50M contract and the Clips got outrebounded by 15 or so. The Bulls are going to get more boards than most opponents each game, but you have to keep it respectable.

Mavs looking like a freaking lottery team. No passion, old legs, very little young talent and even then Rick Carlisle wont play you unless youre at least a 5 year vet. Oh well.. DWill and Howard 2013. Fingers crossed.

Minnesota is a fun team to watch. Not sure what it is but its my next favorite team, first being Dallas. Rubio, Love, Barea all exciting players. Gonna have to check them out more.

The league pass broadband package let me pick 7 teams last year, only 5 this year. If it was 7 the TWolves would have made the cut. I'm regretting putting the Mavs in the 5 too. Hopefully they will turn it around, they aren't *that* bad of a team this year.

Mavs are starting to look more competitive in their past few games (that Durant three at the buzzer last week was a heartbreaker after Vince nails a 3 with 1.4 seconds left)...

Last night's win against OKC was a good sign...

anyone else watch the bulls hawks game on nba tv/league pass last night?

first, that team is all D Rose. He carries them like no other player

second, are the commentators for these games local guys or what? they are always terrible. last night, however, the one guy was hilarious with the stuff he was yelling. I gotta look up who he is and find youtube clips

edit: I think it was https://twitter.com/#!/Sky21King

couple old clips I found, but last night he was especially fired up

Yeah, Stacey King get's a little 'emotional'.

"TOO QUICK TOO FAST TOO STRONG TOO GOOD!!!"

He played on the first 3-peat teams, and Funk has been doing the games for years. Before Paxson went to the front office, he was very good imo.

Hopefully Rip will take a load off Rose if they can really find a sync. Last night was pretty insane. Atlanta is so long and athletic and challenges everything at the basket. With no inside game for the bulls, and no shooters hitting anything, it took Rose taking over and Atlanta choking on offense to finally come back from 19 down. Atlanta has played a sh!tload lately so overall it didn't bode well for the bulls to barely pull this one out.

After so many years of post-jordan frustration, it's still almost surreal having a player like Rose on the bulls to take over in games like this.

The TWolves and Rubio are really looking good. If they were in the weaker East they would be a lock for the playoffs, but they may squeak it out in the West afterall. They just posted a 20-2 run to close out the first half against the Bulls by dominating the glass.

I haven't caught the 76ers yet, but they seem to be doing really well. Not just winning games but blowing teams out. I need to watch them and see if they are legit or not.

The Heat certainly are legit and all the moron talking heads that trashed Coach Spo last year should be eating crow now. If they can manage to have a healthy Wade and Miller they will be unbeatable. I'm ready to start reading some good insightful articles on the growth of the Heat this year, but I have only seen pieces on Lebron playing near the basket.

Mavs back at .500 (wipes sweat off forehead). Had me a little worried there. I knew mavs lakers would make the playoffs. Two of the all time greats Dirk/Kobe aren't gonna let their teams go out like that while they are still somewhat in their prime.

I thought they might be a 8 seed but I'm thinking 4/5 right now.

Age will be a factor as the season progresses and seedings will reflect that. There are already a ton of injuries around the league, and that crapshoot of which teams will be healthy come playoff time is impossible to predict.

I still think the Lakers will be on the cusp of making the 8th seed, I just can't see Kobe keeping up the pace he is on throughout the season. He is dominating the ball at levels that are high even for him. Once he wears down the Lakers will struggle to maintain their current .500 play.

As for the Mavs, I agree with what Cuban said a short while back that they are an older team that will rely on playing as a unit ahead of athleticism and it will take time for the new guys to pick up their system. I think their defense will only suffer a slight dropoff from last year (Chandler was huge for them but I think his value was overrated) but their ability to score, especially from their second unit will have a noticeable dropoff. If the Mavs do end up as a 4 seed, then Carlisle is an even better coach than I thought. And I think he is currently the best in the business.

why? he still can't draw a play, and still can't beat a basic zone.

lebron with another choke tonight vs golden state. saw him biting his nails late in the 4th as the warriors mounted an improbable comeback. he disappeared with no wade to bail him out. he sucked it up on D too, as nate robinson of all players burned him for a layup. flashbacks of jason terry burning lebron?

Biggest surprise for me is Philly at top of the Atlantic division at 7-2. They are playing well. Also glad to see Indy buildoff their great playoff battle against Chicago and come out strong.

Both the Laker and the Spurs are still winless on the road? Wow....

Mavs got their first road win last night...

According to the recap at NBA.com, attendance for the Mavs/Pistons game last night was 10,073.

Watching the game last night, there was no way that many people were there. The entire upper level behind both backboards were completely empty and the lower level was barely 1/2 full...

Hmm I"m from MN so I'm a homer but aside from their moronic starting lineup (is Adelman trying to prove what an idiot Rambis was?) they're playing quite well. I think they turn things around and compete for the 8th seed but miss the playoffs this year.

Predictions: Heat over Bulls in ECF (shocking prediction I know)
Portland over OKC in the west. Portland is just a deep team that does everything reasonably well.

Champions: Heat

I've watched some Jazz (give Burks more playing time!) and Indiana this year and they both are winning games with some ugly ball (Jazz moreso than Pacers). I think the Jazz will tail off a bit and miss the playoffs while Indiana will be a 5th seed behind Heat, Bulls, Atlanta, and Philly.

I really like Denver and Portland in the West. LAL look old or useless (except Bynum until he gets injured again).

Anyone want to take Wes Johnson or Michael Beasley from the TWolves? Please, we can throw in Darko. I'd take Courtney Lee in exchange... maybe Anthony Morrow? We just need a wing.
