Official 2010 Daytona 500 Thread

First off, I need to ask... who in the HELL thought that it was a good idea to schedule the Daytona 500 on Valentine's Day this year? I'm envisioning thousands of pissed off wives and girlfriends if this race runs late and starts screwing with people's dinner reservations.

That said, who thinks that Mark Martin has a good chance of winning this year? I don't think that he's ever won this race, but he has the pole this year and is always competitive.

I think Mark Martin has a good chance of winning. I also think Tony Stweart and Kasey Khane have a good chance as well.

to hell with woman, the race comes first!!!!

Oh, and I almost forgot...

"NASCAR is pointless and boring, and is just drivers going around in circles."

There, I said it for you.... so the forum trolls don't have to. 😉

I think with nascar not enforcing the bump draft rule and leaving it in the drivers hand plus with the bigger restrictor plate. it's going to be a very good and interesting race

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwww! Drivin' round in circles is fuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnn! 🙂 [well..at least my 3 year old thinks it's cool - I prefer WRC myself] 🙂

I'm not a huge nascar fan, but seriously...if you don't like it, read the topic first and don't click. 😉

I'll probably put it on for a bit - fast cars are fast cars, whether they're going in circles, straight lines, or anything else. 😀

Maybe they are gonna finish the race.. Hopefully this will motivate them to hurry up and repave the track

Yeah... I'll bet that crap like this is going to kill FOX's ratings for the race. By the time this thing restarts, they will have lost half of their viewers... and they're not going to get a lot of them back because it's Valentine's Day.

...and, the track falls apart. Again. Looks like the Daytona 500 is going to be a night race this year 🙂

what a great race, would have probably hated it if I was at the race but able to walk away during the down periods was good. man waltrip was right about jr. looking like daddy there on the last lap, how he went from a different person giving him a push so many times for him to come within half a lap of winning was amazing. if they keep tweaking rules for better races it's going to be a good thing.

Junior wasn't even in the camera shot with one lap to go. Next thing you know he's shooting a gap and pushing McMurray...
