Nets over Raptors. But aside from that, I think all the higher seeds are better teams (aside from Houston/Utah but Houston has the home court).

I think the Lakers lost their chance when Farmar picked up his 4th foul (or was that his 3rd). Smush Parker came in, Brian Cook soon after, and that totally killed the momentum Lakers had on offense.

Huh? I thought I pointed that out, did I say something incorrect? The nets were in toronto and the nets won, so that's the road win. And I said that Houston has home court even though Utah is the higher seed. I was saying all the higher seeds are better but Houston (5) is better than Utah (4) and they have the home court to prove it.

That's a gutsy prediction. I wouldn't even make that prediction if they go up 2-0. Then again I didn't get to see the Nuggets much this year (Mavs fan). I do know how tough that Spurs team can be though.

Well, the Heat are a higher seed than the Bulls but they don't have homecourt advantage. Therefore, they must win a road game to win the series. The phrase "But aside from that..." makes it seem like their will be no other road wins but you believe that the higher seed will win 'em.

The Mavs winning percentage for the season: .817.
The Mavs winning percentage until they clinched the west: .829.
The Mavs winning percentage after the break: 23-6, .793.
The Mavs winning percentage after the break until they clinched: 19-4, .826.

FYI I am counting the Portland win on April 7 as the day the Mavs clinched the West, I might be wrong. But either way that's about when they stopped playing as hard. At the very least you can't count the Utah and GSW losses against them since their 3 best players were in street clothes.

So you see, "crazy run" is relative. 3 13+ game win streaks in a season and a 67 win season is more of a "crazy run" to me but hey I guess I am spoiled.


edit: Just wanted to point out yes I am a huge mavs fan but that doesn't change the facts. I would stake my life that this series won't go to 7. I say 5 but 6 is possible. Sorry just wanted to say that before someone else points it out.

The point is that of all the lower seeded teams, GSW have the most upset potential. Not to mention the Warrior's record with their entire healthy lineup is even better. But of course, you're just a typical moronic rabid sports fan who can't even fathom their team losing.

I think as soon as Dampier is back in the starting lineup and George is back on the bench (where he belongs, barely), the Mavs can rebound. Personally, I would start Stackhouse instead of Harris.

Why did Dallas go with a small starting lineup? Dampier and Diop are beasts in the paint, especially against a smaller lineup...but Avery started Devean George? Can't understand that at all. I think Dallas will quickly correct their mistakes though. GS has a lot of upset potential but I don't think they can beat Dallas in a 7game series.

GS has upset potential. Mavs usually rebound after a loss. They just shot horribly tonight. Credit the Warriors for making some clutch shots and playing some pretty tough D.
Spurs Nuggets was a good game. Hopefully they can make it a 7 game series.
