yeah even their celebration was boring 😀

hopefully the crap performances that Lebron put up this series will put a rest to those Jordan talk for a while. Took him 4 games to finally hit a shot beyond 2 feet from the rim. Today he had at least 3 unforced turnovers, all at crucial times too.

Mike Brown I think needs to be fired. Why did he bench gooden and Big Z the leading rebounders for the team towards the end. Neither were in foul trouble. And we saw what happened as a result. The Spurs got 3 extra possessions and Manu buried a 3 ball and pretty much put the game away.

Why didn't he scream foul near the end either? instead he let the spurs run the clock then decide to foul when it was too late. the spurs ran at least 15 seconds off the clock.

it's hard to celebrate at someone else's arena - nobody was clapping for them there - everyone was POd that Clev lost.

Congrats to the Spurs and their fans...well played series. However, I think that the real winners are fans around the world who won't be subjected to any more of this God forsaken series. 😀 There were times during the series I was actually flipping through the channels looking for a WNBA game 🙂

Yep you hit the nail on the hammer. Only thing i liked about this series was Horry getting 7 rings. YEAH BABY!

*yawn*

Huh. There was a championship series played?

*/yawn*

Worst. Series. Ever.

ABC's SD video quality was attrocious and coupled with completely uninteresting games, I watched maybe 1 full quarter of the entire thing.

Congrats to the Spurs. They should have just given them the trophy after the first game and called it a season.

Not to mention ABC's crew was awful. They have absolutely no chemistry. It would have been covered much better (not that it would've helped much) on TNT.

good thing we we're over-exposed-to-death of Eva Longoria.

oh wait, we were.

(yes, i think she's hot, but jeez......every other camera shot?)

Parker getting the MVP...blah. It was a seemingly obvious choice because he performed so well, but I think everyone knows they couldn't have won without Duncan, yet would still have had a great chance at winning without Parker. I don't begrudge the voting, but Duncan was without question the team's mvp.

Thank god its over tho. Some great basketball played by the spurs, but the competition barely showed up.

Duncan is the foundation of the Spurs but Parker played so damn good and consistent. That's why he won it. Duncan didn't have a great game 4 and that's why he didnt win it. Parker is becoming one of the premier guards in the NBA now. Damn he's even hitting 3's now which he's horrible at usually.

I just don't get into the NBA any more, I used to get pumped for the playoffs and watch a lot of it. Back in the days of the Kemp / Payton Sonics, Reggie Miller's Pacers teams, the Bulls of course, and earlier when the Pistons, Lakers, and Celtics were on top. I could name the top 1 or 2 players on every team, knew what the good matchups were etc...

Now it's totally different, most of the guys are anonymous to me, it's all hip hoppy now, I just don't care anymore.

Parker's playing at a very high level. As quick as he is, the biggest nightmare would be that he'd become a good outside shooter, and he's done that. He seems to have acquired a good sense of when to take them too. But dang, Duncan is an absolute rock, offensively and especially defensively. The disciplined spurs offense and defense is predicated on the impact and attention that Duncan draws on both ends, and altho that doesn't always pad the stats, there's no doubt who the man is.

I thought he was getting old and fat in last years playoffs...obviously I was wrong. I didn't realize at the time that he had plantar fascitis, or something like that in his feet, which was the reason he couldn't elevate and explode as well. But his overall impact on a game now is as great as it ever was imo.

especially since you can probably count the true low post threats in the NBA on one hand.

if only the finals were more interesting. kind of like an anti-climax after the warriors mavericks series eh?

mods i guess its time to unsticky this thread.
