*** OFFICIAL *** 2006 NBA Draft Thread

I think this draft is a mix bag.

at fresh players most seem to be role players and possible starters. Some guys like morrison, gay, foye will get to start this coming season but its likely do more to situation than skill.

I pray the warriors get obryant. We need a quality big man. Hopefully Mullin will pull the trigger and find a taker for troy murphy, maybe the bulls. Too bad we can't find a sucker for foyle's contract.

Seems like more 1-dimensional players are coming out in this draft. They are going to need lots of coaching to become well rounded and get minutes.

Who are the bulls are expected to draft?

I wouldn't mind them trading Gordon for another pick or for someone who's less streaky and a better defender, and can make his teammates better.

Rumor has it that the Warriors might trade Murphy and the #9 for Chicago's #2 and #16. I would love that trade, just to get Diogu some playing time. I'm not so sure about O'Bryant. I would rather have them take Sene. He's a lot more raw, but looks to have better athleticism and be tougher/more aggressive.

Go Warriors! Trade the pick and Dunleavy away!

Addition by subtraction!

Yes anything to get rid of Bumleavy.

for warriors people, I need help in coming up with a name for Murphy. I can't think of something as good as Bumleavy for murphy.

Smurphy?

espn is reporting that Bargnani is a lock for the raptors at #1.

also, MJ wants Morrison at #3 for the bobcats.

<gasp>

Maybe they'll take Miles and 7 pick for the 3rd pick..........<hangs head>

Whoever takes bargnani in the top 5 is nuts. He's no nowitski and is too slow and not strong enough.

However it happens I hope the bulls wind up with Sheldon. They need his inside game on offense and defense. He's probably not a #2 worthy pick but he's possibly got Zo-type potential imo (minus some offense.)

Nope surprise indeed. I was waiting for him to say Redick should be #1, lol.
