GP106 is coming too...

If the 1060 is ~50% of a 1080 in terms of performance, that would make it a bit faster than a 970, and 970s sell for 300 euros now, so a 300 euro 1060 would be a very minor gain in price per performance.

Actually you can get an R9 390 for 300 euros right now, so the 1060 might bring no improvement in price vs performance at all. It would have much better performance per watt, and better VR performance once SMP starts being supported, but I think most people care more about price per performance for non-VR games.

From the current leaks, it seems the 2 bins of GP106 will hit ~970 and ~980 performance.

Actual 1070 prices where I live (Netherlands):

Founders Edition: 480 euros and up

Customer cards: 520 euros and up

Anyone else seeing this trend of custom cards costing more than FE's ?

In the UK too, for a few custom cards yes. However it is still preorders for the customs.

A good chance that its temporary price gouging while supply is low. Give it a month or two and we'll see. If it doesn't come down it'll be because they're selling big amounts at that price.

The Zotac Amp version is available 7-8% lower than 1080 FE here in India,AMP Extreme can be found for same price as FE. Overall availability seems good enough.
