An officer in Las Vegas fired through a window in a dramatic high-speed car chase last Wednesday.

The police unit released the video on Monday which showed dramatic body camera footage of an officer at the wheel, grabbing his gun, and peppering his windhsield with bullets to stop the suspect from getting away.

The chase and shootout, which occurred July 11, came after officers responded to an attempted murder call, police said.

Another police car joined the chase but was shot at by the suspects a number of times.

Metropolitan Police Department Assistant Sheriff Tim Kelly said in a statement that the second officer’s car was hit by bullets at least twice, forcing him to abandon the chase.

He added that during the pursuit, the two suspects, Fidel Miranda, 23, and 30-year-old Rene Nunez, fired 34 shots at officers and hit several marked police vehicles.

According to reports, one suspect was killed during the pursuit, while the other was left wounded.

"they were bad actors"

Hmm, that is a real tough one. I never think that it is a good idea to shoot from a moving vehicle in a populated area, so very many things that could go wrong. But in this case the suspects were shooting at the police so they could either back off and end the pursuit or do whatever they could to bring it to a conclusion as quickly as possible. In this particular case I can't help but go with the cops on the scene judgment in the moment.

But man does that cops hearing have to be all fucked up right about now, shooting a gun inside of a car with no hearing protection has got to be tough as hell on the eardrums.

Bad dudes.

Nunez is accused of stealing the SUV on May 20 in North Las Vegas, Kelly said, and one of the guns Nunez used during the chase had been reported stolen May 20.

Miranda and Nunez had aliases, “Cabezon” and “Kreeepper,” respectively, which could be gang-related, he said.

Nunez faces multiple charges of murder with a deadly weapon and attempted murder with a deadly weapon. He remained in the Clark County Detention Center on Monday without bail.
