I think when you are getting arrested it should all be fair game, fighting back and eluding police should not incur additional charges, you just get what you deserve, be it a gunshot or a punch in the face.

(I know my belief probably isn't popular though)

Perhaps that's because you didn't think about the consequences of what you're suggesting.

I hope the perp sues and wins.
If the police need to come and get you, they're bringing an ass kicking with them.

It might be a bit jumpy but overall the cop is right. A hard punch to the face probably saved him quite a bit of struggling.

The guy turned at him... looked as though he was going to attack/fight his way out. The cop was in the right here. I have no problem with this.

You show me the same attempts to threaten or injure an officer in any vid and I'll back that cop up. Almost every "don't tase me bro" video I see lacks that. Granny isn't coming at you. Put your taser away.

That is the way it use to be in the "good ol' days".

No, it wasn't. The "good ol days" was catching a beating instead of clogging up the prison system.

This is really the dumbest thing to bitch about. A 100% full proof solution to not getting tazed, punched, kicked, thrown to the ground? Don't be a fucking dumbass. Works every time, but then again, the types of people who get busted aren't the smartest bunch.

I hope the perp sues and wins.

And why the hell would that be? Do you see ANYTHING in that video that suggests that the officer instigated it? Anything that tells you that the perp wasn't completely and soley responsible for what happened?

Haha totally owned lol. You simply don't try to run away from the cops.

I think what the cop did was ok, even if he had used a taser instead. He first tried to handle the suspect physically, and then he lost control given the guy was trying to run away, so he stepped it up a notch and punched him. I think this is how tasers need to be used, for when the initial basic physical intervention is not enough. Or in this case, KO!

Those are the kind of cops I grew up with, could be linebackers. Now half men and women they hire need tasers.

I guarantee that if the perp was black, Al Sharpton would have called it police brutality.

Really? Because Al comes out for every incident right? LOL there are multiple events every day that happen like this, and yet I only see Al come out what 5 times a year? Using your logic Al would be on the news 365 day a year, but he's not. Al doesn't even comment on 99.9% of incidents of police brutality against minorities
