Officemax B&M - APC 350VA UPS - $15 - No rebates!

Did a search and didn't find this deal so I am going ahead posting this and risk the wrath of the "re-post gods" (you know who you are).

Officemax in Minneapolis (Lake Street and Nicollet location) had the APC 350VA UPS (5 minute run time on the front) for $15 with no rebate. This may be local, may be national, who knows - YMMV.

The sku is 20062968. Didn't catch the upc code or even buy the UPS because I already have too many from previous "hot deals" . . .

I did notice the model number was BE350C and that the price only applied to the boxes marked "5 minute run time". The online price is $49.99, so this appears to be a B&M deal only (so far).

Somehow I doubt it will support my 19" monitor and 300w PS for 1 second. lol. But nice price especially with no rebate hassle.

HEY! 😉 I know how ya feel! 😉

God Bless

sooooooooo, maybe it won't support out superWICKED madphat systems...but it's still going to help us avoid brown outs right?

those things that can KILL HD's and used to give bad sectors 😉

I hate to trouble you, but can you scan your receipt? I will try to PM with my OM here. I'm sure it's good for my rig.

Thank you for the deal (post or repost). Sometime I feel safer not to post a hot deal I found.

superlie: I didn't even buy the UPS at $15! I have too many already from previous hot deals . . . I will edit my original post.

Wish some store would put another APC 1100VA unit on sale. Did any of you guys get to that one from Microcenter few months ago?

I have one of them Apc Smart-ups 1000xl units. It's the one that can have extra batteries hooked to it. I have 4 extra batteries. I got my pc, 21" monitor, tv, satellite receiver, vcrs, lights, and a few other items hooked to it and its still got plenty of room to add more. With my pc and monitor turned on alone, I get 9 hours of runtime. But then again this all comes at a rather hefty pricetag. I think apc makes the best battery backup units. Anyways, just wanted to brag a little.

I wouldn't recommend using this APC UPS with the average ATer system but I do have a perfect use for this UPS.

For the entertainment center! In my bedroom I have a TrippLite Internet Office 280 UPS (similar to this) hooked up to my 27" Toshiba Cinema Series TV, VCR, ReplayTV, Satellite receiver, alarm clock and desk lamp. So whenever the power goes out I can continue to watch TV, record, while basking in light and seeing the time.

This probably is obvious, but you can hook up one item apiece to a UPS. I.e., if you have 2 computers and a monitor, you could hook up each to their own UPS, particularly at a $15 price.

Has anybody besides Northland been able to get this price?

I second (or maybe 3rd...i dont know) the question, "Can this be confirmed?" I definately would buy 2 or 3 of these at 15 bucks a peice. I am not looking to run my PC for a while during a blackout...but i would like a bit better surge and brown out protection than my old power strip.

<< I checked online and made a couple of calls to local stores. Didn't find anything promising. Must be a local phenomenon. 🙁 >>

same here...pricechecked at $39 still while I was in my local B&M returning another Acer 24x10x40...pfaugh...hate these local B&M deals when they don't apply to you...p.s. there was something like it (another AT HotDeal thread) checked the Staples also...no dice

I have one of these from CompUSA deal a while back. I spilled water on my desk and when I came back to clean it, it was all gone! Then i here drippity drip drop. I go under my desk out the back and my APC is entirely drenched. Now it still works but it makes a beeping sound every 5 mins. I am so sad 🙁
