Talked to an OfficeMax B&M manager today - she told me they accept Staples and OfficeDepot B&M coupons - in fact, they accept ANY office products competitors' coupons - just so long as they say in-store. This has GREAT deal potential!!

I asked the question to someone at officemax a few weeks ago and they acted like I was crazy. I hope this true now.
You just have to talk to a manager. I don't recall any memos saying we did now accept B&M coupons but I'm pretty sure its just a managerial decision.
Don't start assuming this means you can use Staples coupon codes at OM, because that won't work. They're talking about physical coupons here, I'm sure, not some code that their computer system won't know what to do with.
This was a Virginia OfficeMax - and she (the manager) was responding to my request to use the Staples coupons that I printed from an email sent to me by Staples. She said as long as they specify in-store use, they don't care which store they came from, as long as it's a competitor. We don't have an Office Depot within 100 miles of us, but she said they'll even accept those, although it's up to the individual manager in that case.
is the 20 off 20 at od a actual ink coupon or a code? if it is actual can someone pm me with a scan of it.

Anyone else acctuly confirmed that? If thats true, you could get alot of great deals. Never heard of that before though.
I simply told the manager I a lot of shopping at OfficeMax for my company, but since Staples emailed me these coupons (pull out printout of Staples email) this made it really hard to justify NOT shopping at Staples. Would she be able to accept the coupons at OfficeMax? She checked with the head mucky muck, then came back and said yes - they'd just accepted an Office Depot coupon earlier that day, and there weren't even any Office Depot stores around, so they would certainly accept a Staples coupon, since they're right next door.
I asked if I needed to ask for her, or would the employees know when I went through the check out line? She said all the employees had been told, but that if there was any question simply have a manager called and they would take care of it. Apparently it is a manager's discression type thing, but she did say they were being pressured to accept them, so now were. I have trouble believing this is the ONLY OfficeMax store that does this - the manager made it sound like everyone was going to be doing it.

I don't know if I should post this here, but I want to tell of my experience with Staples B&M. I bought a Canon S-100 Digital ELPH from Staples on the 15th and they matched the lowest on-line price I could find. All I had to do was print the page showing the on-line add and they matched it. $394 vs. $499, their in store price. They charge, in addition, whatever the published shipping charges, but if that can't be determined, $5. Pretty hot deal.
