Hmmmm, kinda cold compared to what Staples had just a few days ago. But still not bad nonetheless. Esp. if you can use Staples or OD coupons with those pruchases.

It's funny how they advertise you will save $35 for that 256 mb SDRAM. Last time I checked on Crucial, they were around $50 shipped. Not $80 like in their regular OM price. And I really don't like K-Byte Brand.

The WD HDD won't be bad deal $70 - $15 off $30 coupon from Staples = $55 for a 40 GB 7200 rpm drive.

Anyone know if I go pick up that WD drive today, if I can PM it when the sale starts? The g/f computer needs a new drive, and she'll only take WD drives. Newegg has this drive OEM for $68, and this is a retail kit, so $70 + tax doesn't seem too bad.

Ideas?

You should have no problem doing that. You can call them and ask if they will honor the price now. Depending on the manager, s/he might price-override it instead of having to do a return and repurchase.

I ordered this drive online along with the laser mouse and the printer for a total of $102-$25 coupon.
the hard drive came back out of stock. So I called the csr and asked and she told me that if it wasnt instock within 7-10 days they would cancel my order for the hard drive. When I asked her what about the coupon, she told me that I would still recieve the $25 off even if they didnt fill the entire order. That would make it $25+7.5=32.5-15 rebate -25 coupon=+$7.5 Hard to beat that if they do credit me with the coupon.

they also have 100 CDRs (80 Min, says 12x on spindle, 16x on in-store ad, I am sure it can do higher though) for 9.99, no rebates.

Does anyone know what type or speed the cdrw drive is that is $50-$10rebate? I cant find any of it on line, and my local store dosnt have an add that came out this weekend. Somehow, when I was on OM site earlier I found a list of all the stuff that is in the circular that is posted here. It looked like it was made to print out and take into the store with you. It had something to do with being on the advanced mailing list. Now I cannot find the city I live in at all. South Carolina, Columbia. All I can get is orangeburg and greenville. Could someone check SC and see if they get more than me.

I don't know whether anyone has noticed it or not, but the UPC code on the Khypermedia spindle is not the same as on the rebate coupon in the Office Max May 2002 rebate booklet. The coupon says UPC code# 637668236504 The UPC on the in store spindle is the same for the first 7 digits, but the last 5 digits are different. When I pointed this out, the store manager said that the rebate would be honored anyway, but I decided I didn't need another rebate hassle.

mr. Jaylio, try a store location in a nearby state, then when you see the list of store locations IN THAT STATE, it might be selectable in there
good luck

$15 off $30? I only see $10 off $20 in the "obese"wallet thread...could you pm me a link to this in-store coupon?

So basically - goto staples, pricematch with office depot to $70 and use either a $10 or $15 coupon?

Ordered the printer($24.98)+scanner($37)+CD-R($8)+optical mouse ($7.49)+chairmat($16.99)+magazine rack($6.99) for a total of $101.45, minus $25 coupon, it came out to be $81.04 incl. tax. After the $43 rebates ($15 printer+$20 scanner+$8 CD-R), and selling off the printer and scanner (they are easy sells at ~$20 each), I'm getting the mouse, chairmat and mag rack for free -- the stuff I really need. :)

Thanks for the head up.

I asked the same thing about the 50 pack cd-r $8 rebate. The manager pulled up the sku # on the computer and it showed alternate sku #'s, which includes the one on the rebate form. The manager signed the form and said if there was any problem to contact her and she would give me the $8. Farmington MI OMax. Decent people to deal with, at least in my opinion.
