Office2K shortcut bar - Icon changes

I started dragging my little used icons off the destop (W2K Pro OS) onto the MS Office shortcut bar set to autohide. No problem with the others, but AOL Instant Messenger icon transforms into the little purple key for MS Access on the bar. Still shows as AIM when I hover the mouse pointer over it. I tried deleting then made a new shortcut & dragged it back onto the bar & the same thing happened.
I ran Ad-aware, my anti-virus(MacAfee w/updated defs) & the new MS Anti-spyware Beta. Found no obvious problems. Has this happened to anyone else? Kinda wierd that only the one icon changes. By the way, when I right click the icon & go to properties, the current icon shows as the little yellow running guy.
