hi

i just tried to use the office xp pro sp2 on my machine but i got a message saying:
"the expected version was not found" and then it drops-out and i am unable to update.
do i first need to install sp1 before i can install sp2? i thought all yuou needed to do was install the most recent service pack that you had and it also contained fixes in previous versions?

what else might be the cause of this message and any suggestions what i can do about it?
 
You have to install Office SP1 before you can install SP2. Link (See bottom of page).

Important Prior to installing Office XP SP2, you must install Office XP Service Pack 1 (SP1).
