it's basically the CD that large companies with site licenses can order. Like where i work, we have lots of machines and having a different product ID for every one of them is retarded for the OS and Office, so we just buy a # of licenses equal to the number of machines we want it on. The CD's cost jack to buy just to have around in case you need to make a new load or something.
