ARGH!!!! I'M GONNA GO INSANE!!!!

So I've exported EVERYTHING from EVERY program to my new computer.

The problem is just that my rules wizard is mis-matching things that I set.

I set account xxx to go to folder yyyy and instead ... acount aaaa goes to yyy and xxx goes to ccc or yyyy or nowhere at all!!!

*banging head on desk*

Since I check over 15 email accounts and get 100's of emails a day ... manual sorting is NOT an option!!!

Any ideas?

Murphyrulez - Dude, thanks so much for the suggestion. I never in a million years would have thought of that!

I'm such a n00b when it comes to Outlook. I mean, I didn't even plug my keyboard into the right port, or I'd have posted this question weeks ago!

You are truly a golden god of computing and we should all feel blessed to have your excellent array of knowledge in our presence.

Can I send you a check? I feel we should all tithe to you as a symbol of your excellence.

(see, I can make sh!t flow from my ears too :p )

Well I've had all kinds of problems with the XP version of Outlook, finally went back to the 2k version. Good luck with it.

Now, stop being a d1ck to people that post in this thread to try and help you.

Digobick - I was pissed at first ... now it's just becoming fun ...

This is a totally different question.

One question was about importing the POP settings ... this question is about the quirkyness of the stupid (yet fully needed for life support to function) rules thing ...

I wouldn't think too long. I paid cash for my car and all the mods. I still have a good deal of money left in the bank. Anything else?

Billy7777 What's your problem, sh1t-for-brains? You make a couple of threads and then since nobody responds to them (technically they are in the wrong forum) you use the excuse that you're on the rag as a reason to lash out at people? Millenium offered a suggestion and then you hint that he'd have to work many hours by your side in mcdonalds to pay for his car?

The doctor told you clearly to take your meds twice EVERY DAY. You can't take breaks on the weekend you know.

check to make sure that the rules you set up aren't overlapping/overriding eachother. Also, be aware of the order that you have them set in. It's makesa difference. And if you really want to solve the problem, stop using Outlook. Outlook Express is lessy bloated and does sorting just fine with slighty less sophisticated rules.

Skoorb - NO ONE until docmanhattan's post attempted to help.

If you had read my message, you would CLEARLY see that I said "Since I check over 15 email accounts and get 100's of emails a day ... manual sorting is NOT an option!!!"

They were being dicks ... so I replied with thick sarcasm. It's within my right.

The rules wizard for Outlook sucks. It doesn't sort my mail either. Use Outlook Express, it works fine.

Millenium ... sorry dude ...

I wasted the good surprise on murphy, and didn't see your post until after my retort ...

The only life line I had was the specs of one bad ass driving machine ... and a burnt road map ... plus, I'm hungry ... so mcD's was the first thing that came to mind (even though I HATE mcD's) ... put two and two together ... and you've got a cheezy crack ...

aphexII --- Soooo, lemme guess, not a noles fan?

bwahahaa ...

Actually, its a common problem and can be easily solved. Here's a link from MS's very own website with the solution.

If it's not working, re-do it manually. Set up your rules again -- take 20 minutes out of your jam-packed, flame-bait life and just fix the problem.

Note: I did not say sort it manually, as it would cause you to have a seizure, jackass.
