office xp on win98

i am trying to install office xp fullversion on win98SE, but get a installer error (ie msi.exe).

is office xp compatible with xp and win2k only?
 
I had that happen as well. I just put in the CD and instead of using the autorun feature double clicked on setup.exe.
 
i had it on 98SE also and had no problems...now i ahve it on XP, still no problems. Much nicer than the older version
