Office xp freezes Win98

I am writing this here for a friend because basically i dont want to think

I told him I will let this go to the brain trust here


Basically office xp was recently installed on a machine with windows 98 and ever since that, the machine boots ok and works fine for a while. But then it will slowly start to slow down and then come to a complete freeze ??



Any ideas..??
