Is it normal for an office worker to brush his/her teeth while walking the hallway?

Somehow, I think brushing one's teeth should be left in the bathroom. I think it's the same as wiping one's ass. No one ever does it in public.

EDIT 1: Unfortunately, no pics. Plus, I don't want to disrespect that person's privacy.

Not as unsanitary as wiping your ass in the hallway, but it still is a form of hygiene that should be kept in the bathroom.

It's not normal, and is in bad taste. I suggest a swift punch to the abdomen.

Not really the same as wiping your ass in public, but still weird nonetheless.

I'm guessing that same person, blows their nose on their shirt, and picks their ear and stares at the ear wax. :(

Kind of hard to wipe your ass while walking down the hallway. However I agree both should be left in the bathroom.

What's the big deal? Most people (well, I think) brush with their mouth closed and I know at home, I walk around and even hold conversations while brushing my teeth :p. It's exciting and fun for the whole family!

Sure it's not "normally seen in the workplace", but as long as he spits in the sink, he's .

EDIT: I don't see why brushing your teeth is "disgusting" unless you have some really nasty looking unkempt teeth. You see people's teeth when they smile, you hopefully don't see people's asses during the day.

There are a great many activities which are fine for you to do in your own home which are not appropriate for the workplace.
And if you brush your teeth with your mouth closed, you must not be holding very good conversations while doing so...

I would say it ranks right up there with combing your hair in a restaurant. :( Personal hygiene is, just that, personal and private.

Wiping your ass and brushing your teeth is all a form of hygiene maintenance. In that respect, it should be kept private in an office setting. Heck, I think anyone is free to wipe their ass in the hallway as long as its at home --- not my home, though. ;-)
