Office wiring install

I hope I'm ok to ask this question, if it's not cool, mods let me know and I'll change it.

I'm opening an office and I need some phone and network wiring, not a big deal except the building I'm in requires the installer to be a union member. I've gotten a quote but it's way over priced considering it's pretty simple job of 2 jacks and 2 phone lines. Anyone in the Chicago region that can help me out?

at the moment I'd rather not put it out there like that but if you're curious, pm me.

If it were not for the rules of the building I would be able to install the lines myself for much cheaper.

But since I'm not in the industry and no one I know does this kind of work, I have no ideas as to the real cost for this.

My company is a cable installer, Union 701 / 134 etc. If you don't like the price quotes though, you prob won't like ours either... However it would be done with quality cable and jacks, and would be fully tested.

I don't know, the quote that I received was pretty bad. I originally had a number in my head and their figure was almost triple that!

Maybe I should get your contact info just for kicks.

If you really want a quote I can direct you to the right person at my company. Small jobs like this would most likely go to my services division. However I would refer you via PM because I shouldn't be adverting on ATOT.
