Every season my office has a "pool" for the weekly games, this year i volenteerd to be the "pooley"(sp?)

are there any good free spreadsheet programs out there to help me organize this a pool a little better? It will be in a form like this

(for example)
Week 1 MiaVsDal NYJvsCinn OakvsSTL

NAME Mia Cinn STL
NAME Dal Cinn Oak
NAME Dal NYJ STL
NAME Mia Cinn Oak
NAME Mia NYJ Oak

etc etc etc

basically, i need a good spreadsheet program, that is free, and will have separated categories (lines) to make it organized.

It is $30 for 10 players and $3 per person over 10 for the whole year.

http://www.officefootballpool.com/help.cfm?p=1#cat3 :

"How much does it cost? - The cost for 2007 Pick'em Pool hosting is $30 for the first 10 pool members, plus $3 per member above 10. If you have 20 people in your pool, for instance, the cost is $60 ($30 base fee + 10 additional members, at $3 each)."

Also, you do not have to spend your time taking in picks, dealing with people who always get their picks in late and other such headaches. Everyone just signs up for the pool and they can worry about getting to the site before the 1st kickoff. If they miss the deadline, the pool picks for them. And you can do your picks at any time you have web access. $3 per person for a year is not a great hardship for such convenience.

It really is a great website. Our pool has over 100 players (it is more than just our office).

Not that it is any skin off my teeth, but why do you prefer to use a hand-made hardcopy rather than a website specifically designed to do the job, and does it better, easier and with more features?

Well this is how it works, We usually have 20 or so people, they each pay $10 for entry fee and make their pics.

the total pot for that NFL week is $190 because the pooley(me)plays for free.

Now, if i did that site, The pot would be less because I would have to pay that website fees.

If i use spreadsheet, does those separating lines print along with the info or are they only on the computer?

At $3 per person ($60) spread over 17 weeks, that reduces the weekly pot by $3.53.

On the other hand, if you reduce the weekly pot by, say $15, to $175 per week, you can also give out prizes ($255 worth!! (Like 1st:$125, 2nd:$75, 3rd:$50, Last:$5)) at the end of the year for yearly totals (which, of course, the website keeps track of).

You can set it up to print or hide the lines.
