I usually join the office pool for fun since the squares are randomly assigned but this year, they're changing the rules ... you can pick your squares!

We're basically wagering on the last digit of each teams score during the game, there's a prize at the end of each quarter but the bigger pot is on the final score.

Any suggestions on what #'s I should pick?

pick#1 bears colts
1 3 7
2 7 8
3 0 3
4 1 0

etc. suggestions?

argh - I'm prob. saying this all wrong or maybe this is a stupid pool ... :) count me in as stupid by would it be dumb to join this pool? Seems like it takes more thinking than the other way, where you randomly pick a spot and hope for the better #s. This way you actually get a say on what numbers you want.

if you can get the good #'s and somehow the board gets filled, then you should get in, yes

ehhh... That doesn't make much sense. Now, if you auction off boxes, then perhaps.

sounds like a stupid pool. Better to have the squares assigned and then a random draw to assign numbers. There is no incentive to pick the last squares.

That's an absolutely ridiculous way that your job is doing it.

I'm in the charge of mine at work and I'm drawing the numbers until everybody's paid up. They have by 5:00 tomorrow afternoon to get their money to me. Then on Friday morning, we'll draw the numbers and pass out the sheets to those that are participating.

0 1 4 7 are probably the best four. 0 & 4 would be my picks if I could have them.
