I just got hired at Office Max a few weeks ago, and I'm just wondering who else in these forums work at OMX?

Oh, and teach the rest of the crew how to do the 155% price match. I haven't seen two stores do it the same way yet!

well if I see anything, I'll let ya know. and I can check the inventory at my store or other stores in my district, if someone is looking for a store in washington that carries what they need(hint: when there is a good sale on something and someone posts in the hot deals forum and then everyone buys out their local stock of it, I can see if we have any left)

with regards to the 155% pricematch...I'll try to get a copy of the guidelines that all stores are supposed to use, I'll scan it, and post it on the web...so you guys can print it and take a copy into office max and show them how they are supposed to do it, if they are doing it wrong.

Sigh, I see that people miss me posting all the Omax clearances I'm still there, but hopefully not for long. Also, in regards to the 155%, it's no longer in effect - this is indefinite, but possibly permanant.

The 155% thing is regional - some stores do still honor it

And most of our clearances are crap (really)

The Office Max I went to today had a really pushy employee!! I walked in toward the computer hardware. Right when I saw the sq2500 I picked it up to inspect the box to read the specs and stuff, and then this guy walks up to me grabs the box out of my hands and says "Can I help you?" WTF?! So I said "Yeah I want to buy that" and he just took it to the sales counter and flagged me over there and said "Here you go." Why are the employees so pushy on getting the customers out of the store?!
