office max fraud?

went into OMAX today for the 19.99AR WD 80gb drive, was the first in line and they didn't even have ONE in stock. isn't that false advertising? we did take rainchecks though but last time i took a raincheck they never sold me anything (oh it's while supplies last so you can go screw yourself attitude)

im boycotting OMAX if they don't give me my drive. their rebates never come anyway.
 
My Officemax is very good. I could probably make a coupon on construction paper with crayon and they would accept it. 🙂
 
It isn't fraud if they made a mistake, the store you went to probably sold the ones they were supposed to hold for today to Hot Deals Ferengi during the preceding days.

not really. long as they have at least a few for sale then it is fine.

but yeah i feel its fals advertising. i hate it when stores have great sales but only have 3 items for sale.

they didn't have ANY. i was the FIRST person that came in the store when it opened.
 
I would not consider it fraud but I thought I heard that OM is going bankrupt and this might be a last minute desparation attempt to drum up business before going under.

My local OM didn't have any WD hard drives in stock, either!
 
What usually happens is that people go purchase them all before the sale, then come back on Sunday to pricematch it.
